Hello there and Happy Sunday to you!  I'm thrilled that it's February 1st because that means that today, the fun begins at Papertrey Ink!  Nichole will be making exciting announcements on her blog about changes and new products at Papertrey every day from now until Feb. 14 which is Release Night, when you'll be able to purchase this month's new releases.

So, I think it probably goes without saying that my all time favorite set from Papertrey is Polka Dot Basics.  This set never leaves my desk....seriously.  I want it close at hand because I use it so often.  Today's card is just another one that I've made using this super fabby set!

Hey there,

So yesterday, I totally pooped out on you and didn't do a blog post.  What's up with that?!  So rude, I know.  Hee!  In my defense, I'm working on a ton of stuff that I can't share with you just yet but still........that's no excuse.  You come here for a blog post so darn it, you expect to see a blog post....and I let you down.  And for that, I'm utterly sorry.  Utterly.  :) 

BUT, I'm back in action today and let me tell ya, I'm rarin' and ready to go.  Where?  Well......nowhere.  It's just a figure of speech, but you know what I mean.  Anyway, my little sister (and by that, I mean Gracie.  I know....there are so many of them!) is here tonight to "get her craft on" with me.  I have a list a mile long to work on.  Let me assure you that this Papertrey release is gonna be a FUN one!  You're NOT gonna want to miss out.  Trust me on this one.  I wouldn't lead you astray.  Be SURE and check out Nichole's blog on Sunday when she starts all the fun stuff! 

As for today's card.......well, I love how it turned out.  Papertrey's stamp sets make it so easy to whip up fun cards like this one.  I used Teacher's Apple on this card for both the sentiment and the apples.  Seriously fun!  

Tomorrow is sweet Ally-girl's FIRST Birthday!  (my niece)  Can you even believe it?!  Some of you were reading this blog-o a year ago when she was born......and now she's got a baby brother too!  :)  We're going on a short road trip tomorrow for the birthday festivities so I'll try and bring back some photos of family fun and baby's eating cake!  Haha!

I hope that your weekend is full of laughter and love and maybe even a wet, sloppy baby kiss.  If you're lucky.  :)

CARDS Magazine - December Pubs

Hi All....

For today, I thought I'd share with you, my cards that were published in the December issue of CARDS Magazine. 

I'm getting sooooo excited for the big 2nd Anniversary release at Papertrey....are you??  Nichole's been posting hints on her blog at what's to come and starting on Feb. 1 (that's this Sunday!!), she'll start making BIG announcements on her blog every day until the 14th!  LOTS of fun going on at Papertrey this month!  You're gonna LOVE it!  Are you getting excited too??

I'm tucked away in the studio tonight while my referee hubsy is referee-ing.  :)  My doggie boy is sound asleep on his woobie (doggy bed) right here by my desk.  I have a fun movie playing on my little tv and I'm ready to get crafty.  I hope you all have a marvelous evening.

Cozy & Warm.

Good evening......I hope you're all doing well tonight.  I am so happy to be at home this evening with my hubby.  It's cold outside and there's snow on the way so I fixed a big pot of chicken & noodles and Bart built a fire in the fireplace and we're sitting down for a little bit of tv now that we're thru with dinner.  So nice.  We have a super busy week ahead, so I'm gonna cherish our time together tonight.  Just a quick little card to share with you before I go.  I made the label with my Cricut Storybook cartridge and I stamped the circle image from the Simply Stationary set and the 'Miss You' sentiment from the Mixed Messages set.  I love how perfectly the circle image fit within the points on the label.  That's patterned paper from Papertrey's new Black & White Basics collection....cool, isn't it??  

Have a great evening, friends.  I've got some computer work to do while we watch tv....I'm so thankful for my laptop!  Haha!

So Much to Share...

HI there, how's it going??  BOY, do I have a lot of fun stuff to share with you today.  I got lots done yesterday including a bit of a makeover here at the blog-o.  What do you think??  :)

I also cranked out quite a few cards so here we go...This first card is one that I made with a leftover scrap of paper I had from when I made this card.  I had used my Guide Lines stamp set to create the red/cream patterned paper and added a sentiment and finial images from the Simply Stationary set, also by Papertrey.  All that was left was to add some fun flowers I made using some vintage book print and some Bazzill paper flowers and a couple buttons.  

These next two cards are ones that I made using a collection of patterned papers by Basic Grey called "Offbeat".  Such fun colors and patterns.  I mixed in a stamped sentiment and snail image from Papertrey's Forest Friends stamp set.  The ric rac is actually self adhesive - it came as a long strip on a sheet of Element Stickers in the same Offbeat assortment pack. 

More Offbeat papers & stickers by Basic Grey here only this time, I paired them with a sentiment & bee stamp from Honey Bees & Honey Bees Sentiments.

For this card, I used a Basic Grey "Chip Stickers" collection called Eva.  After I had the chipboard situated on the card, I added some Prima flowers and a Making Memories brad to the center.  Oh, and notice the two rows of stamped images along the bottom of the card?  Those are also from the Simply Stationary stamp set.  That set sure is handy!

More Eva chip stickers from Basic Grey here.  This time, I paired them with a sentiment from the Faux Ribbon stamp set and used my curly label punch from Stampin' Up!  Hero Arts gemstones along the bottom, finished things off.

Hopefully today's post had a bit of something for everyone!  Lots of different looks here.  It's so fun to grab a pack of embellies or papers and just CREATE sometimes!  Hope you enjoyed today's post.  I'll chat with you tomorrow, dear ones!

A Guide Lines Gift Set.

Hi-ya!  

Thought I'd share a fun little note card gift set with you today.  Clearly I'm in a Guide Lines kinda mood this week.  :)  I created all of these fun patterns with some white embossing powder and Papertrey's Guide Lines stamp set and created the sentiments with a bit of my own hand-writing and the new Fresh Alphabet stamp set.  Love how these turned out.  Don't you think Papertrey's Perfect Match color collection is really cool?  Every month they come out with more fabulous colors to mix and match with their existing colors and I for one, just LOVE them.  And how cool is it that you can get lots of ribbon styles that coordinate with every single color?!  Love!

So, how's it goin'??  I thought I'd share a bit of vintage-y goodness with you tonight.  I made the patterned paper on this card by using some Vintage Cream ink & my Guide Lines stamp set from Papertrey, on Pure Poppy card stock.  The fun sentiment is from the Heart Prints stamp set.  (I love that set.)  And I used some tea dye Distress Ink from Tim Holtz to antique it up a little around the edges.  I tore the card stock across the top and sort of curled it down a bit and of course, I added one of my fun little cork birdies.  They just make me happy.  :)

Kristina's Color Inspo. #39

Hi All,

Time again for another color challenge from Kristina Werner.  I'm so glad Kristina does these color challenges.....I so enjoy them.  This week's colors are very fun!  Thanks Kristina!

I used a couple of Papertrey sets to create this card -- the new Simply Stationary set by Candice Aguilar and the Paper Tray set of sentiments.  Doesn't that stamp from Simply Stationary just make the coolest border?  Love!  I also used some of the new Black & White Basics patterned paper - so elegant and fun.

Hope you're all doing well.  Bart and I were a bit under the weather the last couple of days but I think we're on the mend now.  SO glad tomorrow's Friday!  More goodies to share with you then.

Hi All!  Since I spent most of yesterday out of town meeting my new nephew, I didn't spend much time in the studio.  So I thought I'd share a card with you today that I made a bit ago using Papertrey's new With Sympathy set.  I paired the floral image from With Sympathy with a sentiment from the Faux Ribbon set.  It's a simple little card that you could make in lots of different color combos.

My Dad was the first one to hold his new grandson once we got there.  Side note:  My Dad is affectionately referred to as "Sugar Pops" by my siblings and I, now that he's a Grandpa.....cute, huh?!  And when the babies are older, they can just call him "Pops"!  You should hear him say to Ally, "Come here and see Sugar Pops!"  It's the ca-UTEST thing!  I can't wait to hear Ally say Sugar Pops one day!  LOL!

Don't newborn baby legs & feet just make you smile?  You should have seen the paparazzi of family members snapping photos once the nurse pulled his feet out of his sleeper to footprint him!  Haha!

I think she's gonna be a MAC lover!  She's hooked on the iPhone already!  This was too funny.....she learned how to scroll thru the photos on my phone so she could see pictures of Uncle Bart and Riley dog ("Dot") so when we got to the hospital, she was sitting by Diann and I and all of a sudden, grabbed the phone out of my hand, layed back on her mama, CROSSED HER LEGS and started scrolling thru pictures on my phone!  LOL!  I'm tellin' ya, the whole room busted out laughing!  She looked like she was a little grown up, kicking back to surf the net on her phone or something!  Hee.

Thank you so much for all of the well wishes and love you've sent our way.  We appreciate your prayers for a safe delivery and a healthy baby and mama.  They're doing great!  What a blessing.  We love our new little man!  Can't wait to see him again!

The Baby's On the Way!

 

Hi All, 

My sister's baby is about to make his or her first appearance!  Diann & Phillip are at the hospital (3 hours away from here).  My mom and Glory (littlest sister) are at Diann's house with baby Ally and my Dad is heading that way soon to take them all to the hospital.  (Mom's been staying with them for a few days now.)  SOOOO.....Grace (sister) & David (brother) will be heading out with me in a couple hours to go see them.  Unfortunately, Gracie's hubs has to work today and my hubs has a game he's reffing tonight so it'll have to just be a sibling road trip this time.  

In case you're interested, you can watch for updates in my Twitter column (over there in the right hand side bar) to see how things are progressing.  I'll keep you posted today and let you know what's going on as it happens and I'll let you know when I find out if I have a new NIECE or a new NEPHEW!  :)
