Wow! You girls had quite a few questions for me. If I answered them all in this post, it'd take you 3 days to read them all!! :) So instead, I thought we'd break up the Q&A post into a series of 4 posts, each grouped around a common theme from your questions.
Today's post is all about answering your crafty questions so let's get started!
I look for cards & projects that overall, have a great design and are pleasing to the eye, first and foremost. Beyond that, I look for cards that stick as closely as possible to the colors in the challenge and cards that are neat with straight cuts, clean stamping, no frayed ribbon, etc.
The specific brand of products used plays no part in my decision-making. You don't have to use Papertrey products and you cartainly don't have to use stamp sets that I've personally designed. I'm looking for great, eye-catching cards. They can be super simple or piled with layers, but ultimately they have to have a great layout and design. I'm no professional but I go with what looks good and what I love. My favorites are the ones that make me say "ooooh" as soon as I lay eyes on them. :)
Also, you don't have to have more than one photo of your card to qualify. Close-up, detail photos don't affect my decision at all.
I started out making cards maybe 4 years ago and eventually a lady that worked in our office building asked me to make her a baby card for a friend, which I did and she bought from me. But then she asked for a few more so I started making more and then other friends and family started buying them from me. It just kept growing into this fabulous hobby that I love today.
