Hello, Dearies....
I have a fun project to share with you today! I decided to try my hand at making a garland. Can you believe I've never made one before?! ....but I have to say that it was quite fun and a bit addicting too! I think I just might have to make another one of these!
I used Vintage Ornaments to create fun little tags to go between each of the J O Y lettered panels. I punched two holes at the top of each panel, and then threaded them all together with raspberry fizz classic grosgrain ribbon.
The letters are ones that I cut out with my Cricut Expression and Storybook cartridge, and then I covered them with glitter using my Glue Pad. It was so fun to mix and match papers and embellishments to create the panels and make each one a bit different.
I also used ScorTape to put stripes of Martha Stewart smoky quartz glitter on some of the panels. I love the vintage look of that goldish glitter!
I snapped these photos of it hanging on the mantle in our family room, but for now, it's taken up residence on the birdcage hanging on the wall of my studio. I'm thinking I'll put this happy little JOY garland in my Etsy shop, so keep an eye out if you like it! (Or feel free to email me if you're interested.)
Hope you're all having a fabulous day. It's beautiful and crisp and sunny here today. I'm tucked into the studio with a pile of new stamps to play with and a list of assignments, so I'd best get back to it, but I wanted to pop in and visit with you for a quick bit.
