Hello Friends! It's the morning after the big January Papertrey Ink Release Party. I had a great time in the forum last night, chatting with old friends and meeting new ones! Were you there?? Did you enjoy the fun?
I've got a couple more projects to share with you today that are projects I made using some of the other new stamp sets from this release. First up is a sympathy card that is soooo simple but I just love it. It features the new Through The Trees stamp set - a gorgeous collection of various trees and beautiful sentiments. This card is one that I should make a few extras of to have on hand for those times when you need a sympathy card during the winter. OR, you could even change the sentiment to create a beautiful little thank you card or thinking of you card as well.
I stamped the beautiful framed birches image in dark chocolate and then stamped the little bird in red. After I'd trimmed it out and scalloped the bottom edge with my scalloped punch, I used my two-way glue pen to trace along the left side of the trees and added some prisma glitter to them. In real life, those trees are just so pretty and sparkly!
And here's a card I made using Alli Miles' new Daily Designs and Sentiments. I loved that scalloped circle label image but wanted to use it more as a flower. Another quick and easy card that could easily be reproduced in a variety of color combos, or you could even add more layers and jazz it up even more!
For this card, I stamped the 'flowers' in raspberry fizz, hibiscus burst and pure poppy and then added buttons in the same colors to the centers of each one.
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! I don't know about you but I'm readyyyyyy for the weekend, though it'll be a busy one for us. Bart's reffing schedule is crazy busy right now and I'll be singing at both services on Sunday morning at church -- I'm on the worship team this week. Thankfully there are no games for Bart on Sundays so we can go to church together! I'm also feeling grateful that Monday is a holiday here in the US, so Bartley will be off work! Can't wait to spend the day together, especially after a busy weekend!
