Hello there and welcome back to Day 2 of the Papertrey Countdown!! (All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning Jan. 15.)
It sounds like there are quite a few of you that are thrilled with the new Edgers #1 Dies that I introduced you to yesterday! I'm so happy to hear it. Today, I've got another fun new product to share with you......perfect for birthday cards for just about ANYone! Introducing the new By The Numbers Impression Plate!
The By The Numbers Impression Plate is double sided with the same pattern on both sides.....one side vertically oriented and the other, horizontally oriented. The above photo shows the vertical orientation. GAH! Don't you just loooove this number pattern?!! It is ideal for all sorts of projects but makes birthday cards a cinch, whether you're making a masculine or feminine card, and regardless of the recipient's age!
This impression plate is soooo much fun to use -- the numbers are deeply impressed into the card stock and I'm over the moon with how striking the pattern looks in real life.
This photo shows you the horizontally oriented pattern. Again, so cool!
So let's get right to the cards I've made for today using the By The Numbers Impression Plate, shall we? First up is a masculine card. I know that masculine cards can be hard at times and think this one would be so easy to whip up...even a few of them all at once so that you've got some on hand.
I die cut the circles using some new Limitless Layers dies and stamped the tree from Falling Leaves using ripe avocado and dark chocolate ink. I then punched several holes, adding Making Memories brads to the tree....I love how the metal adds another masculine touch to the card. The sentiment is from the Mat Stack 1 Collection and I stamped it on a bit of simply chartreuse card stock that I die cut using the double ended banner die. Simply fold the ends of the banner and adhere with foam adhesive to make it "pop".
Next, a cherry cheery little card! :)
I used the By The Numbers Impression Plate on hawaiian shores card stock and stitched that panel to my card front. Next, I die cut some stamper's select white card stock with a new die coming out this month (watch Nichole's blog for more info!) and then stamped it with a coordinating label image from a new stamp set, also coming out this month! Then I pulled out the Everyday Button Bits stamp set and stamped the cherry stems in ripe avocado ink and added some threaded pure poppy buttons.
Another double ended banners die cut sentiment here.....the sentiment is also from Everyday Button Bits.
Next up, an adorably girly birthday card....wouldn't this just be perfect for a special little lady's birthday?
This time, I used the By The Numbers Impression Plate on raspberry fizz card stock....again, SO darned cute! Next, I die cut some rustic cream card stock with the new tag sale #3 die and tied a bow of fine linen bitty dot satin ribbon thru the hole at the top. Next, I created that cutie little cupcake using the Cupcake Collection stamp set and it's new coordinating dies!
This sentiment is from Beth Silaika's new Inside & Out: Birthday stamp set....the edges of the sentiment strip were cut with pinking sheers. The "stardust" sentiment works perfectly with the star candles and the star sprinkles (from Cupcake Collection) that were stamped on the top of the cupcake! I added a little glitter to the cupcake for good measure. *wink*
And lastly, in case you were thinking that the By The Numbers Impression Plate was only good for making birthday cards, think again!! Here, I paired it with a few little goodies to make an adorable love note for my hottie hubs!!
For the card base, I used a bit of guide lines grid card stock. I used the new mat stack 5 die again on this card, this time on a bit of hawaiian shores card stock. Next, I ran that die cut back thru the Big Shot, this time with the By The Numbers Impression Plate! LOVE!! Just look at how bold those glorious numbers are!!
Next, I used a stamp from the Recipe Box Label stamp set to create the "No." sentiment, just cutting it away from the rest of the words in that sentiment. I paired the "No." with a die cut "1" which I cut out from Simple Valentine patterned paper using one of the new By The Numbers Collection Dies! LOVE. These new number dies work *perfectly* with the By The Numbers Impression Plate! A match made in Heaven!
Lastly, I stamped one of the chic sentiment strips from Heather's new Simple Sentiments stamp set, directly on the card front.
Well, what do you think of the By The Numbers Impression Plate? I so enjoyed hearing from so many of you yesterday regarding the Edgers #1 Dies.....I'd love to hear your thoughts today as well! I've got *another* fun new product, that I'll be introducing to you again tomorrow so I do hope you'll join me for a visit!
For today, Nichole Heady and Heather Nichols are both showcasing Heather's two new stamp sets from this release. You'll also want to check in with Melissa Bickford and Beth Silaika to see more peeks at their newest stamp sets.
Thanks for stopping by, friends!
Have a goodie!
