Hey there,
Happy Sunday to you. Hope you're enjoying your weekend. We went to church this morning and are spending a little time relaxing this afternoon....we just watched the women's World Cup soccer championship game. That wasn't exactly relaxing though, now that I think about it! Sad for the US, but happy for Japan.
Bart's in the kitchen preparing to fire up the grill. Well, the grill's not in the kitchen. He's just in the kitchen, prepping the food that he'll then take outside to the grill. When he fires it up. The grill, I mean. :)
He's planning to make a cheddar stuffed burger for him (also known as a Juicy Lucy, in some parts of the country -- we saw it on "Man vs. Food" on the Travel Channel) and a bleu cheese stuffed burger for me.....we'll see which one's the best. It's our own private little food challenge. We should have a tv show. Ha. He attempted this same burger last week, stuffed with feta (what we had on hand at the time), and oh my stars, it was good! Basically you make two flattened out burger patties, put a little pile of cheese in the center of one, add the top patty and sandwich the two patties together -- mushing the edges together really well, effectively sealing the cheese inside. Then, grill it up!
There's a new burger joint here in town that makes a bleu cheese stuffed burger and I looooove it. Mmm mmm mmm. So tonight's grilling experiment should be fun.
So perhaps you'd like to know about these cards, today, huh? This first one features Melissa Bickford's Hanging Out stamp set and dies. Cute, cute, cute. Can't forget the Half & Half die cut kraft card stock.
Next up, Melissa's Flower Fusion #6 and Half & Half.
This one highlights Maile Belles' Background Basics: Vines and the Leafy Vine Border die. And of course, Half & Half. Are you seeing a recurring theme here?? Or half of one anyway?! Hahaha.
Last but certainly not least is Lisa Johnson's Peaceful Garden. And.......wait for it......Half & Half. I make no apology for my extreme over-use of Half & Half. I mean, if a set is so good that it really can be used on almost every single card you make, then I think you just SHOULD use it. It deserves it. It totally earned it! *wink*
(If that isn't a rousing endorsement for a stamp set, then I don't know what is!)
Have a great evening, dearies.
