Hi-ya! Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Anniversary Festivities post! Today, Nichole Heady is announcing that Papertrey is now on Pinterest!! Each of us on the design team is sharing why we love Pinterest as well as a Pinterest-inspired project based on a photo we've found on Pinterest.
It seems as though Pinterest has become hugely popular almost overnight and I have to admit that it's one of the first places I go these days, when I'm in need of a little creative inspiration. Whether the photos are of home decor, fashion, crafty projects or something else entirely, there is inspiration to be found everywhere and the best part is that you can "pin" those photos that truly inspire you, to your own pin boards, so that they're easily accessible to you any time you need to find them again. You can see my pinboards here....I have over 1,000 pins, so lots of inspiration for you to peruse!
The photo at the top of this post is one that I have pinned on one of my Pinterest boards....there are so many things about that photo that I love and I wanted to mirror some of those things when creating my card. I started out with a rustic cream card base and die cut the bottom edge with an Edgers die, to replicate the pretty decorative trim on the front of the chair.
To duplicate the look of that gorgeous wallpaper, I stamped Rosie Posie flowers and leaves on a piece of fine linen card stock, using raspberry fizz and spring moss inks.
Then, I added some subtle shading to the flowers and leaves with Copic markers before adding a shadow around all of the images with the T1 Copic.
The Celebrations stamp set and die was used to add the sentiment.
