Hello there! I have a rather photo-heavy post for you today, so get comfy before you dig in! Haha.
We went on a little outing after church today, with our friends, Paul & Amy, and their ADORABLE little Gracie, that started with brunch. Yahum. That's Gracie in the photo above. I love her. :)
I tweeted about going to the Yellow Barn with my friend Pam while she was here visiting last weekend and while we were shopping at the Yellow Barn (they sell home decor items), we were told that the house on the property, that gorgeous log cabin you see above, would be open to the public for two days this weekend. They deck the house out for Christmas, filling it with items you can buy, and once a year, you can tour the home. Well let me tell you, I told Pam that I wanted to come back this weekend because I REALLY wanted to see the inside of that house and I have to say, it did NOT disappoint! I'll let the photos do most of the talking here....you'll see what I mean.... :)
Just look at those red garage doors up there....loooove.
The front door....
The kitchen....it was set up as the 'check out' because most of the Christmas items decorating the house are also items that you can purchase either in the house or in the Yellow Barn.
View from the kitchen past a cozy sitting area into the great room.
The screen porch....it wrapped around and was so huge, I couldn't get it all in the shot. Also, I know you can't see it in the photos, but it looks out over a gorgeous woodsy area.
Amy snapped this one of Bartley and me. (Thanks, Amy!)
View from the deck, looking back at the screen porch and the little rushing waterfall below, that you can hear as soon as you step out on the screen porch. I just wanted to move in on that porch!
The deck, looking at the back of the house. That's the great room, inside those doors.
Gracie, the cutest little pumpkin you ever did see. :)
Inside the great room....fireplace on right.
Yes, my friends, that is a moose head hanging on the wall in the great room. And a deer. And a reindeer? I don't know what the one on the right is! Haha.
The master bedroom...one tiny part of it, I should say! Just to be clear. HA!
A buffalo head hanging on a wall in the master bedroom, over the doorway into the master bath. A buffalo!
SIDE NOTE: That should give you a hint as to the scale of this house, that they have enough wall space to hang the heads of massive animals on the walls! We're talking LOTS of space here, people!
This is inside the master bath! His & hers closets on the left, back to back dressers right in front of you as you walk in, toilet behind closed door, huge tub and shower on the right, massive vanity at the back.
Master vanity. Hi there.
And our dear friends, Amy, Gracie & Paul. Cutest family ever? :) We love them. Not only do we go to church with them, but they're also our community group leaders. So fun 'doing life' with such great friends.
We had a great time today....hope you liked getting a peek into the house too! I'm so glad we went! For more fun photos of the inside of the house, check my twitter feed or you can view them on Instagram. (My username is dawnsing, if you want to look me up.) ;)
Happy Sunday evening, folks!
