Hi there, Friends. It's Papertrey Countdown time again and today, I get to help introduce you to the next set in Melissa Bickford's Heart-2-Heart collection, which happens to feature an adorable old-school telephone and coordinating sentiments. This is a cute one, folks! ;) And it's only $5!
Let's start with my favorite card of the day, shall we? :) I started out with an aqua mist card base and added some Dearest Jane patterned paper along the bottom of the card front. I chose the basic text pattern to go along with the talking/words/telephone theme. Get it? Haha. Across the top edge of the patterned paper, I added a strip of striped washi tape (from the office supply section at Target) -- man, what a fun little detail and so simple to use!

In the upper right corner of the card front, I stamped three of the sentiments from Heart-2-Heart #4, "HELLO", "sweet friend!" and "How are you?". One great thing about this set is how there are multiple sentiments that can all be used to mix and match and create longer sentiments, if you so choose.

And now, we must talk about the darling little telephones! How cute are they? I used the coordinating die to cut out 3 phones and then stamped the handle and base, as well as a different "center" on each phone.....all are images from Heart-2-Heart #4. Before adhering them to the card with foam adhesive, I attached snippets of rustic cream button twine to each, to serve as the phone 'cord'. Fun, right?! And so simple!

Next up is a birthday card featuring the new Fine Linen Pattern Pack. The card base is stamper's select white, and I stitched the polka dotted Fine Linen patterned paper to the card front, with my sewing machine.
For the tag, I used the Tag Sale #6 die and cut the tag portion from kraft card stock and the reinforcement tab (at the top) from Winter Wisteria card stock. Around the top of the tab, I tied some dark chocolate baker's twine. Just under the tab, I stamped the "Just wanted to say" sentiment from Heart-2-Heart #4, using dark chocolate ink.

Next, I pulled out my Limitless Layers: oval dies to cut out the chocolate and white layers. On the white layer, I stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment from 2012 Birthday Tags. The phone was die cut from winter wisteria card stock and stamped in plum pudding ink. I added a threaded winter wisteria button to the dial on the phone.

For this cheery little number, I thought I'd create a birthday card for a teen girl. (Wouldn't this also be fun if the gift to go along with it, was a new phone?)
I stamped the phones, dials and heart centers randomly using dark chocolate, raspberry fizz, new leaf, hawaiian shores and summer sunrise inks, on a panel of Guide Lines 1 grid card stock.

Behind the phone panel is a piece of striped Summer Sunrise Pattern Pack paper. Along the bottom of the card, I added a strip of stamper's select white card stock that was stamped with a sentiment from Think Big Favorites #12 and tucked just above the sentiment strip is a strip of dark chocolate card stock that was die cut with the heart border die.

One more for you today.....I'm loving summer sunrise and white lately, so that was my jumping off point for this card. I stamped the "hello" sentiment from Heart-2-Heart #4 in the upper right hand corner of the card base and inked the edges of the card with vintage touch tea dye ink in chamomile.

The mat stack 3 die and a coordinating frame image from the Mat Stack 3 Collection stamp set were used to create the frame layer. I stamped the frame in summer sunrise ink followed by the "How are you?" sentiment from Heart-2-Heart #4, in dark chocolate ink. A 1 3/4" circle of kraft card stock was added to the top of the frame and I topped it with the phone from Heart-2-Heart #4.

Along the bottom of the card, I used the new Chevron Stripes border dies to cut out strips of bitty dot patterned paper from the Summer Sunrise Pattern Pack. I adhered them to the bottom of the card, leaving a bit of white space between each row.
All righty then, that's it for me today, but be sure to visit Nichole Heady and Ashley Newell for more Countdown fun, plus Maile Belles, Heather Nichols and Melissa Bickford will have more peeks for you at their new sets too.
Thanks for stopping by....I'll chat with you again soon!
