I have a Nikon D5000 SLR that I LOVE. It's very user friendly and takes great photos!
Do you use a light tent when photographing your cards?
I do use this light tent (though we got ours on ebay for less money). I take photos a lot in the evenings and this tent allows me to get a more natural light and more accurate colors.
What program do you use for photo editing?
I use Adobe Photoshop CS4 but I used Photoshop Elements for a long time and really liked it.
What is that spikey thing you put your cards on in photos?

Places to see when you come to Kansas City
The Country Club Plaza is not to be missed! It's the city's crown jewel, so to speak. If you like to shop and eat, The Plaza offers a wide variety of options for both. It's SUCH a beautiful area -- I highly recommend it!
Nell Hill's (located in the Briarcliff Shopping Village) is a beautiful home decor store that offers two floors of beautiful rooms and vignettes to totally inspire you. Be sure to take your camera....they don't mind if you take pictures!
Also, while you're at the Briarcliff Shopping Village, you can pop across the parking lot to the adorable little Urban Arts & Crafts store. It may be tiny, but it's packed with goodies for a wide variety of crafts -- paper crafts, beads, yarns, fabrics, etc. Cute, cute, cute.
Places to eat when you come to Kansas City
Kansas City is known for its BBQ. There are literally hundreds of BBQ restaurants in town. Oklahoma Joe's takes the top spot as our favorite BBQ in town, although Gates is a close second. You can't go wrong with either one, though if you're looking for more of a "Kansas City institution" type place, that'd be Gates. They've been in business since 1946. OH, and if you go to Oklahoma Joe's, get the fries. Trust me on this one.
Along with having great BBQ, this city also has great steaks! We'd recommend Hereford House for a great, reasonably priced steak and a fun western atmosphere. If you're on the Plaza, head to Plaza III Steakhouse for a great steak, but be forewarned that the menu is a la carte and is a bit more expensive than Hereford House.
Our absolute favorite Mexican food restaurant is Ponak's. It's not fancy. It's not in a fancy area. You may have to wait awhile for a table. But it's the BEST Mexican food and it's pretty inexpensive! You won't be sorry!
For seafood, we like McCormick & Schmicks (located on the Plaza) or Bristol. Both are similarly priced and both have top-notch seafood.
I love pizza and there are a few great places to go if pizza is your thing. Spin Neopolitan Pizza offers a great variety of chic, trendy, thin crust pizzas. Pizza Man also has great pizza, however I must tell you that it's a total hole in the wall. Ha. I recommend calling it in, picking it up and taking it with you. :)
Hands down, if we're craving a dessert treat after a meal (or maybe even in the afternoon for no good reason), we head to Paciugo Gelato. They offer a wide variety of milk-based and water-based (fat free) gelato options, as well as some that are soy-based or no sugar added. All of that is just to say that they've got something for everyone......mmmmm.
If cupcakes are what you're after, head to Smallcakes in Olathe. Best cupcakes in town -- they've even been on Cupcake Wars on the Food Network! My personal fave -- yellow cupcake w/dark chocolate icing. OH, so good. Bart's personal favorite -- "Dirty Snowball", which is chocolate cupcake with coconut cream cheese frosting topped with toasted coconut. (Bart's fave is a special order cupcake though, so call the day before if that's what you're after.) ;)
