Hey there!

I wanted to let you know that I've got a post for you today, over at Ellen Hutson's CLASSroom blog, showing you how easy it is to whip up a stack of cards using a few coordinated goodies from one collection (in this case, Farmhouse by October Afternoon)!  All together, there are five cards for you to check out in the CLASSroom so I hope you'll head right over to see what all I've created to share with you.  

I used this lots of Farmhouse goodies from Ellen Hutson's store.....man, October Afternoon sure does create gorgeous collections, don't they?

Giveaway!! Holiday Card Boot Camp

Hello there,

Hope your weekend is going well.  Ours has been great so far.....did a bit of relaxing, watched some football (my hottie hubs), read a good book (me), walked the puppy a few times (both of us) and have just generally enjoyed spending time together.  Windsor is growing by leaps and bounds and is busy, busy, busy so I find myself not taking so many pictures of him, as just trying to play with him, get him exercise, keep him busy when he's awake so he won't get bored (he's a smart one!).....you get the idea.  A couple weeks ago, I tried to let him hang out with me in the studio while I worked.  He chewed the end off of my laptop cord in approximately 15 seconds.  That was an $80 lesson learned.  :)  But yesterday, we took him to PetSmart on top of all of his other exercise (bought him a hilarous Halloween costume.....just for this first year -- he's only a baby once, right?  Hee!), playtime, etc. and I guess we just wore the poor baby out because he was so pooped, he actually SLEPT in the STUDIO while I made some cards!!  It was sooooo nice.  Made me think of our sweet Riley and how he'd always sleep in the studio while I worked.  So anyway, it's been a good weekend around here.  I'm looking forward to a little more reading today while Bartley watches a little more football.  :)  And tonight, The Amazing Race is on -- a favorite of ours!

Cards for Dear ol' Dad

Good morning!

Happy Wednesday to you.  I wanted to pop back in today to tell you about a Father's Day article I wrote for Ella Publishing.  With Father's Day coming up this Sunday here in the US, it stands to reason that some of you will be tackling those sometimes challenging masculine cards this week, so with that in mind, I've got quite a few tips for you about creating masculine cards for the Dad in your life.  Hopefully you'll find a snippet or two that you can put to use in your own crafting this week!

Crate Paper Guest Designer!

Hi there!!  There's a great big blog post over at the Crate Paper Blog today, that you just might want to check out.  ;) 

I was asked to be the Guest Designer over at Crate Paper for April and I have been soooo excited for today to come, so that I could finally tell you all about it!!  I was so happy when the crazy-talented Christine over at Crate asked me if I'd be the Guest Designer (how could I say no to THAT?!!) and was over the moon when that box full of Crate Paper's newest product lines arrived on my doorstep!  Talk about a FUN mail day! 

I'm not kidding when I say that these newest Crate Paper lines are some of my favorites ever!  The colors.  The details.  GAH!

I didn't waste any time whipping up some cards with those new goodies, and while I've got 5 cards for you to see over at the Crate blog today, that's only just the beginning.  I'll be sharing more with you in the days to come because I can't seem to get enough of the luscious colors and patterns and textures on all of these Crate goodies!
