So on Saturday, after we spent the morning at the marathon cheering on our friends, we got to spend part of the afternoon with this adorable family! This is our niece, Raegen and her husband Andy -- you may remember me telling you about their wedding at the barn -- and this little peanut is their doll-baby, Sawyer! Sawyer is our great-niece and she's just a week older than our nephew, Benjamin. They live out of state (they're military) so we don't get to see them very often.
Seriously, aren't they such a cute little family?!
We went to a park and had a little photo shoot. It was sunny and chilly and Little Miss Sawyer was not interested in smiling in the least. ;) In fact, we were lucky to get her to look up at all.
And then we went to Starbucks where it was warm and cozy and the sun wasn't in her eyes, and Little Miss smiled up a storm at Uncle Bart! Sweet pea!
And then she fought her sleep. And fought it. And fought it. But there's one thing she didn't know. This is Auntie Dawn. I have a bit of a reputation for being able to get babies to sleep. No baby can resist the bounce and sway and booty-pat all at the same time. It's the trifecta of putting babies to sleep.
Gah. Those cheeks!! It was a busy Saturday, but it was a full-of-happy sort of Saturday and those are the best kind, wouldn't you say?
