New Banner....

Well......I've been trying my hand at a little digital scrapping! What do you think??

I took a class on digital scrapbooking last week at my local scrapbooking store and I have another one next week, mostly so I can learn how to use Photoshop Elements to design my own blog banners. It's very fun, fairly simple once you get the hang of it and it's pretty addicting, I have to say!! I made this one in about 45 minutes. I just love Rhonna Farrer designs! She designs 'real' scrapbooking supplies as well as LOTS of digital scrapbooking kits. I just love her style. I used some of her digi-elements in this banner. (The green background 'paper', the black swirly frame & the red flourish)

So anyway....this is one of several banners I've been playing with. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!

Hi there! I'm Dawn McVey and I'd like to welcome you to my little corner of the internet. My hope is that you'll find this place warm and welcoming! I'm an artist with a heart for God. I worked as a graphic designer for ten years, before starting my own art business. I love color and all things vintage! My handsome husband, Bart, is also my best friend. He used that long season of illness to draw us closer to Him and we've also seen Him use our transplant story in amazing ways, to pour faith, hope and joy into the lives of others. Those years of struggle were so hard, but I wouldn't trade them because I can see how He was with us every step of the way and how He was using every bit of it for our good and His glory. My hope now, is that I can encourage you to choose joy in the midst of your own struggles. While you're here, I hope you laugh or smile or find some inspiration and encouragement. I hope you enjoy your time with me and ultimately, I hope you see some of HIM while you're here. He is everything. Much love, friends…
