Well ladies, Bart has read every sweet comment that you posted. I just hope his head doesn't get too big now that he knows there is an official Bart Fan Club! LOL! (He's rolling his eyes even as I write this so maybe I don't have anything to worry about, after all!)
Anyway, he read the comments. He was surprised. He was touched. He was verklempt. He was almost speechless. He was......well heck, he's sitting right here. Why don't I just let him tell you himself?! Hold on....I'm handing him the laptop. If he decides to take over my blog and never give it back, it's been fun Ladies! Hee.
Ok, here he is....
OK....don't worry....I will NEVER take over the blog, so you can rest easy. You all already know what an amazing lady I'm married to, so although what she did with her post today wasn't a shock to me, it was so touching & SO her. She never fails to let me know the extent of her love & I try my best to do the same. It's harder for guys, because our make-up & basic training is so NOT to be loving.....be caring.....be giving....be sacrificial. Anyway, my wish & prayer for you all is that each of you already knows or will come to know the kind of love that is those things....both in giving & receiving. When it comes to love, the greater reward really IS in the giving, so please DO that & HELP your spouses, boyfriends, sons, etc. to do/learn the same & the rewards will be abundant. OK.....off my crate. Thank you all SO much for your kind words & birthday wishes.......AND for your support of my sweet wife. You will never know how much joy she derives from interacting with all of you & I hope she is as much of a blessing in your lives as you are in hers. (OK, we just saw Michael Phelps earn his 7th Gold by ONE-hundredth of a second......HOW COOL IS THAT??!!! What can I say.... still a guy & a sports fan!) Stay well & God Bless..........Bart
Me again....he gave me back my blog. Whew. It was touch and go for a second there. :)
We had a fabby dinner (Bart had a seafood mixed grill - shrimp, scallops, salmon & crab cake served with garlic mashed potatoes & spinach. I had sea scallops served over a lemon asparagus risotto.) and now we're at home having Starbucks lattes & ice cream sandwiches, while watching the Olympics! This is the life.....! Haha!
Thank you so much, to each of you for blessing my husband with your birthday wishes. I have to tell you that it was so sweet to watch him read the blog post and then all of your comments. He really was so touched.
We're gonna enjoy the rest of our evening, but we wanted to pop in and let you all know that we appreciate you. Hope you all have a fabulous evening.......we'll be up late watching the Olympics and then we have a few fun things planned for tomorrow, like the farmers market. I'll take along the Nikon so maybe I can share some pics this weekend. Be sure to check back tomorrow when I'll share my other projects from this month's Papertrey release!
Nighty-night, Peeps!!
