We're back with Beate's Inspiration Challenge #19!! Now I know some of you are gonna scroll down and look at the inspiration photo and think I totally blew this one! Heehee! But, keep in mind that the inspiration photo isn't meant to be taken totally literally. It's just a starting point....something to get you going when you start creating. This was totally the case for me this week. I think most of the time, I take inspiration challenges much too literally so I really tried not to do that this time. (I think I succeeded! LOL!)
I wanted to use totally different colors and I started out thinking that I wanted to focus on the straight lines that are so apparent in the photo. Beyond that, this card sort of took on a life of it's own as I realized that I wanted to use Papertrey's new First Fruits set that I'm just in love with. See the subtle pattern I was able to create using the egg & dart stamp on the sweet blush (pink) paper? Such an elegant and simple background and so easy to accomplish with this stamp. Overall, this card looks nothing like the inspo. photo, and yet I'm so pleased with how it turned out. Ultimately, the inspo. photo did just what it was supposed to do....it gave me a starting point and then I just let go and had fun with this card. :) Go ahead and give it a try yourself! And if you do, be sure to leave a link to your card in the comments section! I'd love to see what YOU come up with!
Have a great day, Peeps!
