Hi All, how are you tonight?? It's been a glorious Sunday here at the McVey Ranch. (that's what I call our house sometimes.....just go with it, ok?) :)
We went to church this morning. It's amazing what going to church can do to lift your spirits and fill you with joy. Seriously, if you're having a rough go of it these days, try going to church next Sunday. It's not a magic fix or anything like that, but you just might be surprised at how God can use that time of worshipping Him to bless you.
So after church, Bartley suggested we go to First Watch for brunch. Now I have to tell you that it's rare that we have brunch so I just love it when my husband suggests things like this. He's full of surprises. I love it that he keeps me guessin'! Brunch turned out to be a lovely affair. The place was packed so we waited outside. It was sooooooo nice out today and the restaurant had a coffee station set up outside where you could help yourself to coffee while you wait for your table. Genius. What a nice touch.
After brunch, we came home and I got to work in the studio where I spent the afternoon. So much to do.....so little time. :) I have several cards ready to share with you this week and I have to say that I can't wait! For today, here's one that I came up with using the Card Positioning Systems sketch #79. Edited to Add: The flowers were made using an accent sticker from my pack of American Crafts Accent Stickers. I actually cut it into two pieces and stuck each piece to a different color of card stock and then trimmed around each piece so I could adhere them to the card front using foam dimensionals. After that, I added a bit of Hero Arts bling for good measure! ;)
Bart fixed scallops and veggies for dinner and we ate out on the deck. Gotta soak up every second of this beautiful weather while we can. Now, we're snuggled up on the sofa watching the Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics and doing a bit of blogging while we watch.
I hope that you've all had a fabulous day! Chat atchya tomorrow, Peeps!
