Hi Peeps! How are you?? I hope you're doing well. I've been so messed up this week - I keep thinking this is Thursday! I think I've stayed up late too many nights in a row watching the Olympics! Hee. I can't NOT watch though!!! I'm addicted! It's a good thing it only goes a couple weeks, I guess! I've so enjoyed having it on each evening while I work. And doesn't it make you feel SOOOO patriotic when one of your own country's athlete's takes the podium and receives a medal while your national anthem is played? I just love that. We were laughing at work today about the fact that we were feeling more emotional last night than Shawn Johnson seemed to be when she got her Gold! You'd think I was the one getting the medal! Hahaha! It's such a proud moment to watch though.....I get choked up every time. What about you? Are you addicted to the Olympics now, too?
Today I have a little Papertrey goodness to share with you that's a bit on the glam side! Don't you just love Papertrey's new Pure Poppy color? It comes in card stock, ink and 5 (Count 'em -- FIVE) coordinating ribbons! Let me just time out here and say that the ribbon alone is one of my absolute favorite things about Papertrey. I love that I always know that each and every new color they come out with, will also have those same five coordinating ribbons! It's awesome! How many times have you had a piece of patterned paper or card stock and you couldn't find just the right color of ribbon to coordinate?! That never happens with Papertrey and not only that, but with those 5 different ribbon options you can choose exactly the perfect type of ribbon for whatever project you're working on - be it a dressy card or a casual card or whatever. (And they're only $3 a spool!) Thank you Papertrey -- you're geniuses! :)
Ok, now back to what I was saying....wait. What was I saying? Oh yeah, the card. Right. For today's card, I wanted to glam it up a tad so I heat embossed the leaf images to create a background pattern on my card base. For this 'fancier' looking card, I chose to use the Pure Poppy Satin ribbon because to me, the satin is just a bit more elegant. Love that I have this option.....I already mentioned that, didn't I?
This card is really simple. It doesn't require a lot of supplies. Anyone can make it. And it could be used for lots of things like a wedding, a birthday or even a 'just because'. Don't you love that? Just think - if you made up a few of these all at once, you'd be prepared for several occasions that might pop up! You'd already have a card made and ready to go.
Can you think of any other occasions that this type of 'Blessings' card might be appropriate for?
