HI!! How's your week going?? I am sooo looking forward to the long weekend and it's only Wednesday! Haha!
All right, so don't even get me started on how ridiculously overdue this birthday card is for my sweet friend Heather Nichols! (So sorry, Heather!) I really don't like falling behind on sending out birthday cards - after all, I'm a card-maker, for Pete's sake! (Who is Pete, anyway?) But it's the thought that counts, right?? And I definitely wanted to let Heather know that I was thinking about her not just on her birthday but also today as I'm sending her this little birthday greeting. :)
And of course, it was only fitting that I design Heather's special birthday card using the first stamp set she designed for Papertrey which just came out this month -- Rustic Branches. Heather is also the queen of using kraft card stock on her projects, so that was something I wanted to incorporate too. I love how soft and sweet this turned out. I hope Heather likes it!
Notice how I used her leaf image to create a background on the sweet blush card stock? I just repeated the image over and over in a row. Also, for the dots on the kraft card stock - I embossed those with clear embossing powder which I think is such a cool effect on kraft paper - especially since I don't have kraft colored ink!
