Tonight, my friends, is the season premier of Dancing With the Stars!! Yippee! That is such a fun show to watch...I can't wait. Are you watching with me??
I have to tell you that I feel so invigorated today.....so inspired. Taking a day and just getting away from it all is just good for the creative soul! I got a bit teary on Sat. in the car, telling Bart how much I appreciate his willingness to go off on these little jaunts with me now and then. I came home with so many ideas for designs to try out and so much inspiration. Heck, just walking thru Nell Hill's gave me tons of inspiration -- and we got to go to BOTH of her stores in the same day! If you feel like you're in a creative rut, get OUT of the house! Go explore! Go enjoy this beautiful weather.....or whatEVER weather you're having! Ha! Maybe your trees are starting to change colors like ours are. Maybe it's still warm and you can go play at the beach for the day. Maybe it's getting chilly and you can go on a hayride! Maybe you have a great home decor store that you can go wander thru for a few hours. Whatever it is, I'm tellin' you....it's good to get out once in awhile and take in the scenery. It'll do your heart good if you let it! And I think you just might be surprised at how much it will spark your creativity once you get back home to your paper crafting goodies!
For tonight's card, I heat embossed a couple of the sentiments from Papertrey's Birthday Basics stamp set. That set has so many great birthday sentiments in all different fonts. I love that! And of course there's some more stitching and some more polka dots, but this one is very fallish, don't you think?
Book Update:
Ok, so it took me forever to read that last book and I'm sorry about that, but I've just been busy. It wasn't the book's fault....it was all me. However, I did finish it, I enjoyed it, and I was excited to find out that there are 3 more books in the series that are coming out! The next one is out this month and two more are due out in 2009. Here's the one I just finished.... "I Heart Bloomberg" by Melody Carlson.

Next up, I'm reading another one by Melody Carlson. This one is called "A Mile in My FlipFlops". Looks fun!
