Hi Crew....Today's post is bustin' at the seams with random-ness! And speaking of seams.....and random.....I have a sewing project on my agenda for tomorrow or Saturday! Don't worry - I'll post photos!
My dear friend delivered a sweet baby boy this morning! SO happy for them! (Yes, this relates to my sewing project!) ;) Can't wait to go visit them in the next few days!
Also relating to my sewing project, I ran to JoAnn's today for some fabric and waited for an HOOOOOOUR for them to cut my fabric! No lie - there were 20-some odd people in line in front of me when I 'took a number' and started my wait. Unbelievable. I guess maybe everyone's working on Halloween costumes? I don't know. So anyway, when I intended to be working on my card for Kristina's color challenge, I was instead wandering around JoAnn's waiting for them to call my number. So instead of sharing a card photo with you today, I thought I'd share a few Venice photos. :) We took these photos while on our gondola ride. The last one is the Rialto Bridge off in the distance. So cool.
I also went to Archivers today - for ONE thing. I closed my eyes so I wouldn't see anything else in the store. I only opened them long enough to find my ONE thing and then I opened them a little so I could make my way to the check out. But that's all I looked at. Nothing else. I didn't see the cute new Christmas lines of papers and embellies and trims they had. I didn't see the entire Thickers section. I didn't even see the Making Memories Slices they had on the counter. Ok....maybe I saw a few more things than I thought. But I really intended to only look at ONE thing. Because I was on a mission.....4 stores and a huge to-do list as soon as I got home!
And speaking of electronic cutters, guess what! I decided that the electronic cutters and the non-elec. cutters really do different things in that the non-elec.'s can cut thru so many different mediums, but you don't have the flexibility of having any shape you're cutting in any size you need, like you do with the electronics. So, I decided to keep an eye out for a Cricut Expression while I'm waiting for my Big Shot to arrive, you know, just in case there was a deal that was just too good to pass up. ;) So Bart found a sweet deal on a brand new Cricut Expression on ebay over the weekend and got it for me! Soooo, my new toy arrived today! Yippee! Today's been one of those days where ever since leaving work, I've been running around like a crazy person so I still haven't actually used the Cricut, but I will. Don't you worry! Hee!
It sounds like apperantly half of America got the American Girl catalog right along with me the other day! Isn't it great to know we're all on someone's giant mailing list together?! Ha!
Ok, so now that I haven't gotten half of the things done that I thought I'd have done by now, I'm gonna spend a bit of time with my favorite person in the world. I seriously have the best husband. I'm convinced of it! He's currently in the kitchen making brownies.....how does he always know just what I need??? It's been one of those days!
I'll be back tomorrow with my card for Kristina's challenge....and who knows what else! LOL!
