Merry Christmas, Dear Ones

Good Christmas morning to you!!

Oh, how I wish I could fully express how grateful I am to each of you that stop by here and brighten my day. I hope that this Christmas will be your best one yet and that 2009 will be filled with abundant blessings in your lives.

Enjoy your Christmas Day, friends! Soak up every minute with your loved ones. Play games! Eat yummy treats! Cherish the time to relax and enjoy friends and family. Put your feet up (after the dishes are done! LOL!) and read a good book! Snuggle up in front of the Christmas tree and count your blessings. They're there! There are so many in this world, that are less fortunate than we are.

Whatever you do, know that you are blessed. You are loved. And you mean an awful lot to me.

Hi there! I'm Dawn McVey and I'd like to welcome you to my little corner of the internet. My hope is that you'll find this place warm and welcoming! I'm an artist with a heart for God. I worked as a graphic designer for ten years, before starting my own art business. I love color and all things vintage! My handsome husband, Bart, is also my best friend. I was extremely sick for more than 8 years and eventually had a rare small intestine transplant on October 28, 2017! During those years of being so sick, I got lots of practice learning how to choose joy in the midst of extreme suffering! ;) I'm so, so grateful for all that the Lord has done in our lives to bless us and to bring me to a place of health! He used that long season of illness to draw us closer to Him and we've also seen Him use our transplant story in amazing ways, to pour faith, hope and joy into the lives of others. Those years of struggle were so hard, but I wouldn't trade them because I can see how He was with us every step of the way and how He was using every bit of it for our good and His glory. My hope now, is that I can encourage you to choose joy in the midst of your own struggles. While you're here, I hope you laugh or smile or find some inspiration and encouragement. I hope you enjoy your time with me and ultimately, I hope you see some of HIM while you're here. He is everything. Much love, friends…
