Hi there! Hopefully you've all had a great start to your week. Thank you SO much for the huge response to Damask Designs!! I'm thrilled to hear that so many of you like the set and can't wait to use it yourself. I'm also excited to show you lots more sneakie peeks this week!
Damask Designs has 15 stamps in the set, including 7 sentiments and 8 images and will be sold for $24. You saw three of the 7 sentiments on the cards I posted yesterday. This first card features another of the sentiments in the set - "Celebrate". I stamped the scroll image from the Recipe Box Label set under the sentiment.
As for the background pattern, I heat embossed clear embossing powder on aqua mist card stock. This image is actually a long image that consists of two rows of finial shapes making it easy to cover a lot of card stock quickly and easily. You just stamp the rows repeatedly until your card stock is covered. There are actually two stamps in this set that I created this way, for those times when you don't want to have to stamp every single damask image individually. You'll get a peek at the other 'long' image in the set, later this week. *wink!*
OH MY WORD, I have to tell you that I love this baby girl card SOOO much!! Hee! Notice that this image looks just like one of the stamps you got a couple peeks at yesterday???? It's the same image only on a scaled down version for creating smaller, more detailed patterns. On this particular card, I used the new Melon Berry ink and some pixie pink ink from Stampin' Up! What a fun color combination!!
This ribbon and fabby button are also the new Melon Berry color from Papertrey. I cut out the tag layers using the Storybook cartridge and my Cricut Expression. For the sentiment, I stamped the word BABY using the
Fresh Alphabet set and added some more of my own hand-writing using a Zig Millennium pen.
Check out this fun baby boy card! I am loving how the Damask Designs pattern on the spring moss card stock almost looks like some really cool, vintage wallpaper! I cut the B out using the Storybook cartridge and my Cricut Expression again, and then I used the
Faux Ribbon stamp set to stamp the diagonal lines on the B! What a fun and easy way to create a focal image for a card, that can be customized with any colors you need! (AND, instead of "B for baby", you could also use the baby's first initial!) The little tag sentiment is also from the Faux Ribbon stamp set.
So, when you first got a peek at Damask Designs, did you have any idea what fun and stylish BABY cards you could make using the set???
And now, another fun surprise for you.........did you see
Nichole's announcement today??? SO many of you have asked if I would be including some of my hand-writing in my first stamp set! While Damask Designs does have 7 sentiment stamps in the set, they aren't hand-written HOWEVER, Nichole has created a stamp set consisting of hand-written sentiments from ALL of the design team members!!! So, for those of you that have been asking for my hand-writing in a stamp set, your wish has been granted!! Hee! I hope that you will be as thrilled with this set as I am! SOOO, that brings me to the image in the photo above! THAT is an ATC (artist trading card). Nichole had each of us on the design team create and autograph an ATC and she has had the entire collection framed and mounted and is giving it away for today's prize!! How cool is that?!
Papertrey is doing a fun guessing game today and Nichole's post is just FULL of inspiration for you so
run over to Nichole's blog and play along for your chance to win this beautiful autographed framed art and get your first peek at the new Handwritten Notes stamp set!!!!
You'll also want to check out the other Design Team Members' blogs to see their ATC's in detail!
One last thing:
Heather Nichols and
Melissa Bickford are showing sneak peeks of their new sets for this month on their blogs as well! You won't want to miss this!
That's all for today. Be sure to check back tomorrow for lots more Damask Designs goodness!
Toodles!
