Hi-ya! Today, I thought I'd show you the other 'background builder' stamp in the Damask Designs set. This is a long stamp with two rows of the images making it easy for you to just stamp a few times and cover a whole surface. On this card, I heat embossed the background (Oh, how I love doing that with this set) on kraft card stock. Cool effect, huh?? I used the Top Note die from Stampin' Up! to cut out the label shape and added some of the Bitty Dot Basics patterned paper in dark chocolate across the bottom. The 'just because' sentiment is one from Damask Designs that you saw on day 1 of the peeks.
See how cool the heat embossing looks on kraft card stock?? ;) The kraft color just gets so intense and rich!
Here, I used the same Damask background stamp only this time I stamped it with raspberry fizz ink on vintage cream card stock. The label is one I cut out using my Cricut Expression and the Storybook cartridge. If you look closely, you'll see that the large damask image that is stamped on the label is a large version of the image on the background builder! This stamp was designed to either coordinate with the background stamp as a focal image, or you can stamp it repeatedly to create a large damask pattern by itself.
I paired the damask image with some of the sentiment stamps from Nichole's new Friends 'Til the End stamp set. I love how the damask takes on a fun, modern feel just by pairing it with a bright color and a trendy font! See how versatile Damask Designs really is?? :)
And lastly for today, I would like to show you two more stamps from the set -- a sentiment and a single image. I love the size of the sentiments in this set. They're not too large for a card but large enough to be the focal image if you'd like.
The background was created using a single image stamp, that I stamped repeatedly in rows to create a damask effect. Can't you just envision the borders you could create with this stamp as well?
