Hi All,
I have looooooved reading about all of your travel dreams!! The great thing about a question like that is that there is no wrong answer! Everyone dreams of going different places and doing different things and it made me so happy to read about the travels that you dream of, even if some of you prefer the comfort of your own back yard. And some of you made me smile with your mention of chocolate croissants or the way you refer to it as 'going on holiday' instead of 'going on vacation'. I just love that! :) It's truly been a joy to read your comments this week.
Talking of travel makes me so happy. I'm a girl who's family had veeeery little growing up and we certainly never travelled on real 'vacations' but we went on little get-aways to my grandparents' house. I dreamed of travelling to far-off places but never really thought it would happen. And truthfully, I LOVE our home and I love BEING home but over the years as Bart & I got to travel to amazing, beautiful places, I got HOOKED! I still love being in our home, but there is just nothing like actually floating down the Grand Canal in a gondola in Venice or standing on THE Eiffel Tower and looking out over Paris! KWIM? I'm so thankful that my sweet husband happens to have a 'hobby' (reffing) that's really more of a second job. He loves reffing, but it's also what pays for our vacations. We sock that money away for our trips and we feel extremely blessed to have been able to go to so many amazing places.
I guess all of that babble was just to say that I believe that God knows our hearts' desires and while we don't always get everything we want, it was a real blessing to me to read about your hopes and dreams and my prayer for each of you is that God would grant you the desires of your hearts. Keep dreaming those travel dreams, Girlies....and save your pennies! Seeing those dreams fulfilled is a goooood thing.
And so, now that I've blabbed at you for awhile, let's get to the winner of the Damask Designs stamp set! The set goes to......JINNY!

OH, and one other thing I thought I'd mention.....I know some of you are avid readers and I sometimes get requests to share here at the blog-o, what books I'm reading. When we travel, I always, ALWAYS take books along with me. I love to read in the airport (when I'm not people watching!), on the plane, and when I'm relaxing on vacation so I thought I'd share a couple of books with you that I'll be putting in my carry-on for this trip!
The first is "Letter Perfect" by Cathy Marie Hake. Click the link to read all about it at Amazon.com. It's a good, clean fiction book that's supposed to be funny historical fiction. I love funny. I love fiction. :) And I love 'clean'! LOL!
The second is "Skid" by Rene Gutteridge. This one's also supposed to be funny plus, I've been a fan of Rene Gutteridge's work for a long time. I met her once at a book signing too......she was super nice. :)
Have a great night, All!
I'd go to the beach with my family. We'd fly kites, have picnics, play in the waves, build sand castles, and bask in the heat of the sun. Aaah, the life!
