Hi All,
I'm so pleased to introduce you to the newest stamp set in my Raspberry Suite line, called Scattered Showers! This week, I'll be showing you lots of projects using this fun new set and I think you'll be surprised at just how fashionable and versatile this set is!
Umbrellas are becoming more and more popular these days. You can get them in just about any shape, size, color & pattern. Even taking photos with a favorite umbrella has become a huge trend. This new stamp set offers lots of umbrella building possibilities as well as a wide range of sentiments that will allow you to create cards and gifts for your loved ones for all sorts of occasions including those times when there IS no occasion, but you need to make a little something for someone 'Just Because'.
First up...I have to say that this is one of my favorite sentiments in this set! I think it would be pretty hard NOT to smile, if a card with this sentiment on it showed up in my mailbox! This card also features the only outline image in this set. It's perfect for water-coloring or paper piecing! You'll notice that I created my own patterned paper by stamping Damask Designs on the background card stock as well as on an extra piece that I then stamped the umbrella image on top of and then cut it out. Such a fun way to customize your umbrella to be any pattern you can stamp.........and who doesn't love a Damask Designs umbrella, right?? ;)
After I stamped the image and layered it on the white card stock with some foam adhesive, I added some gemstones to create a fun border detail on the umbrella. I LOVE this little added touch and you could so easily do this in all kinds of different colors!
Be sure to check out Nichole's blog -- she's featuring Scattered Showers today, as well as Lauren Meader. You'll also want to pop in on Heather Nichols and Lisa Johnson to see peeks at their new stamp sets for this month too!
Oh, and one last thing......congrats & welcome to Kelly Lunceford who is our Distinguished Guest Designer at Papertrey for the next two months. She's also joining the Template Team and will be contributing to the Template Downloads each month for Lauren's TimeLess Templates and we couldn't be happier to have her on board! Pop over to her blog to get a peek at her first template project!
Thanks so much for spending some of your day with me, Peeps! I hope you'll check back tomorrow to see more sneak peeks of my Scattered Showers stamp set! I'll actually have two fun Papertrey posts for you tomorrow night!
Until then, have a fabulous day,
