Our new tree is in-the-house!! Well, it's not really in the HOUSE per se. It's just.....you know........in the house. In the houssssssse. And by that, I mean, it's been planted in our backyard!! LOL!
They pulled up on a big truck with our tree sticking up out the top. It was raining lightly. They unloaded the tree and hauled it around to the back yard. It rained harder. They dug and dug and dug that hole. It rained harder still. They finally got it planted and I felt so bad for them for having to plant our tree in the rain. And then my husband reminded me that it could have easily been 100*+ outside which would have been way worse. He's always looking on the bright side, that husband of mine. :)
Here's one last shot so you can kind of see how tall it is. Based on Bart's height, we think the tree's about 18 feet or so. It looks so small compared to our old tree, but I'm so glad that we went ahead and had them plant it. It's under warranty for 2 years starting the day they planted it, so we'll take great care of it and hopefully it'll be big and beautiful in no time!
P.S. I just finished reading A Promise To Believe In (The Brides of Gallatin County, Book 1) by Tracie Peterson and oh my lordy bees, was it goooooood! I highly, highly recommend it. Tracie Peterson has been one of my fave authors for simply years. Love her!
This particular series is historical fiction set in the stagecoach days and tells the story of 3 sisters whose father dies and how they manage to keep their stagecoach stop running without him. Each of the 3 books in the series focuses on a different sister, and I can't wait to run out and get the next 2 books!
