Hello there! This is my second post for today -- be sure and scroll down to see Day 2 of Mod Squad sneak peeks!!
Ok, so I'm super excited about this post! Nichole Heady has done it again.....she's created another stamp set that is pure genius!!! She designed all of the images in Everyday Button Bits to coordinate with Papertrey's FABULOUS vintage buttons that everyone has fallen in LOVE with!!
My card features the balloon image as well as one of the adorable sentiments from the set. Each of the sentiments were designed to perfectly coordinate with the fun and whimsical images!
The images are all built around the idea that you can use buttons to fill in the spaces and complete the image. Pure genius, I tell you! Is this not ridiculously clever?! AND, another great thing about this set is that quite a few of the images will allow you to use those larger buttons in your button stash that you might otherwise not be sure how to use!
For my card, I decided to layer the buttons for each balloon. I just used mini glue dots to adhere the buttons to each other and more glue dots to adhere them to my card stock. I LOVE how fun this is!! Just think of the color combinations you can come up with when layering your buttons!! For my color combo, I used spring moss, raspberry fizz, scarlet jewel and a touch of dark chocolate ink & card stock. I think these colors are just so pretty together!
I also heat embossed the polka dots on the spring moss card stock using clear embossing powder. (I'm sorry.....I'm on a heat embossing kick and I can't seem to stop! LOL!) But seriously, how COOL does that look?! Hee.
You are NOT gonna want to miss out on all of the other design team members' posts today! Each of the girls have created a project using Everyday Button Bits and they're each sharing their projects with you on their blogs today!
Check 'em out!
Hope your weekend is WONDERFUL!
Back tomorrow with more fun Mod Squad peeks!!
