Hi-ya Peeps!!
It's Papertrey Blog Hop time and this month's theme is all about TEXT! Using text of all varieties on your paper crafted projects is so chic and trendy right now, while at the same time, giving your project a timeless appeal. Ooooh, I just love text whether it be a piece of vintage book print or a stamped pattern like the one on my card today!
The GREAT thing about stamping your text is that you can layer it with other stamps, like I did on this card. Check it out! I love summer sunrise ink, but if it's a little 'loud' for some of you, try stamping it on kraft card stock! The result is a soft, muted orangy color that looks soooo cool! Even cooler, is when you add a stamped text pattern (from Background Basics: Text Style) over the top of the dots in fresh snow ink, and then stamp a great big dark chocolate flourish over the top of that!!!! This card makes me sooooooooo happy to look at it! I might just have to keep it out in the studio for awhile so I can gaze longingly at it! LOL!
I still added a bit of the bitty dot basics patterned paper to the bottom of the card to give it a pop of that bright color and I think the overall result is such a fun, cheery card, without the colors being too over-the-top. The sentiment is from Cupcake Collection and that fun little bitty flourish next to the sentiment is from Simply Stationary.
So, what do you think?? Are you feeling the itch to grab some text and work it into a project of your own??? Be sure to check out the Blog Hop list.....you can visit all of the other blogs on the hop, and see what others have done with text too!
Toodles!
