Yep, you read that right, my friends! You asked for an Additions set to coordinate with the original Scattered Showers stamp set and we heard you loud and clear! I am thrilled to introduce you to Scattered Showers Additions which is my next stamp set in the Raspberry Suite line-up at Papertrey Ink! Just wait till you see all of the images and sentiments (19 total!) in this $24 set that coordinate perfectly with Scattered Showers making both sets even more versatile! You'll just LOVE all the options that this new set will give you, when paired with Scattered Showers!
For this first card, you're getting a peek at several of the images in Scattered Showers Additions, PLUS one of the new sentiments! The raindrop background I created on this card was stamped with a long repeating raindrop background image that is just perfect for stamping a few times and covering an entire area with raindrops!
You'll also notice a sun and clouds on my card. The sun is a separate image that I stamped and hid most of the image behind my clouds! The two clouds together are one single stamp, making it quick and easy to add a pair of clouds to your project. AND, because they have such smooth edges, it makes them a cinch to cut out and pop off the front of your card, like I've done here. Layering them with the sun is a total added bonus, right?! :)
And how about that sentiment??? Don't you just love it? Can you see yourself using this sentiment to make love notes for your sweetie or thoughtful little cards for your kiddos??
Next up, I decided to go vintage! On this card, you're getting a first look at a few more images in the Scattered Showers Additions set! How about those wellies, huh? (Rain boots) ;) The wellie stamp is of a single boot, however, I just love that by stamping a couple of them and cutting them both out, I can create as many pairs of boots as I want.....and don't even get me started on the color possibilities of these little boots! The top of the wellies have a very fun 'buckle' detailing and they even come with tread on the bottoms....for traction, of course. *wink*
Also, notice that fun little tag? That's another image from this set! You can stamp a sweet little tag in any color you want and layer all kinds of fun little goodies on it. And just think of all the other stamp sets you could use in conjunction with this tag! On this card, I stamped the tag image in sweet blush ink, and then stamped my sentiment (another new one from Scattered Showers Additions!) in dark chocolate ink. All that was left to do was add my little layered wellies with some foam adhesive!
One last thing to note......check out the raindrops on this card. See how they're right-side up? If you go back and look at the first card, the raindrops are "upside down".....you can stamp them whichever direction you prefer to give a bit of a different look to your drops!
That's it for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with another Countdown Post -- lots more fun Scattered Showers Additions goodies left to show you! I can't wait for you to see the whole set! And just think.....the cards I showed you today were made JUST using Scattered Showers Additions! Just wait till you see the Additions set paired with the original Scattered Showers set! Endless possibilities....
