Hello there! I hope you're having (or have had!) a great Friday. Friday nights around here now mean football season so Bart's off reffing a game and I'm spending a little time in the studio this evening. I feel like it's taken me days to get this post up, what with all of the other "goings on" around here this week. It certainly wasn't my intent to disappear on you! Anyway, I'm hoping to get many more things accomplished this weekend while Bart is busy with some reffing stuff. I have a couple special projects I'd like to tackle this weekend and there's a new (to me) shop I might just go check out. If I do, I'll be sure to take along the Nikon so I can hopefully share some pictures with you. I'm also planning to be tied to the computer this weekend, getting some design work done. I do have a couple of cards to share with you so stay tuned for those. :) It's supposed to be positively BEAUTIFUL here this weekend, so I might just have to move my 'office' outside and do some computer work out on the deck!
Before we get to this week's Spotlight winners, I just want to take a minute to thank you. So many of you write the nicest things about either me or my color challenges (or both!) on your blogs when you participate and I just wanted you to know that I appreciate it so much. I don't always get to read everything you write -- certainly not when there are over 200 entries! HA! -- but my name jumps out at me in your posts and it's always so heart-warming to read the kind things you say, so thank you. I don't want you to think that I don't notice because I do. And I also want to say that I just love the sweet comments you girls leave for each other on the participants' blogs. I love the way you encourage each other and cheer each other on, whether you're playing along with the color challenges yourself or not! You make me proud, Girlies!
All right, so now that I've gotten all sappy on you, let's get on to the chatter about today's card, shall we? :)
I used some more new Hero Arts goodies on this one! I couldn't resist! That's the Woodgrain Pattern stamp in back and the Bird in Cage stamp in front, and I paired them up with a sentiment from Papertrey's Mega Mixed Messages. I also cut out that big scalloped die cut with my Cricut Expression.
Goodness but Typepad is acting weeeird tonight! I'm gonna move right along to this week's featured cards In the Spotlight! I just want to tell you that I had no less than 35 cards that I totally would have loved to Spotlight, but I had to draw the line somewhere. I narrowed it down to 20 and boy, was that hard! But the great thing about the cards this week is there really is something for everyone....there are really clean & simple cards and more complicated ones. And there are just so many this week that were not only cute, but really clever as well.
So without further adieu, check out who is In the Spotlight.....
