I've got pictures from my weekend at Nichole's to share with you today! Mish and I flew out on Friday afternoon and as soon as Nichole & David (& Wendy - Nichole's BFF) picked us up at the airport, we headed to dinner in Nashville where we met up with two more friends of Nichole's. The meal was fabulous and above is a photo that David took of all of us girls, before we left the restaurant. L-R: Mish, Tracey, Wendy, Nichole, Eden, Me (Wendy, Tracey and Eden all live close to Nichole)
Saturday morning was lazy and loungy but also included a fabulous breakfast of french toast with a grand marnier fruit compote that Nichole whipped up. I knew that she loved to cook but wowwwww.......this was delicious!
Talk about a gourmet breakfast! And being able to enjoy it with dear friends while outside in the great outdoors......well that just made it perfect.
Later that afternoon, we went to a quaint little bakery/cafe type place and had lunch and sweets out on their patio and then stopped in the local scrapbooking store (poor David) :) before heading out to Cedar Ridge (Nichole and David's new property). The above shot is of David and Nichole as we were taking in the views on 'the Ridge'.
Here's a shot that Nichole took of me, standing in one of the breaks in the tree lines, where the driveway passes thru. I'm sure I picked up a bug bite or two right about there! LOL!
And here's Nichole.....I SO enjoyed getting to see her and David in their element.....out on their land, showing us where the house will be situated one day. Seeing her really come alive, dreaming and planning their new home....it's been such a joy to see and I was thrilled to be a part of that day at the Ridge.
Don't know what this is, but it sure is pretty, huh? I'm sure it's probably a weed, but I couldn't resist snapping a photo.
Before we left, the girls did some 'junking' in the barn, digging around for treasures. :)
And lastly, the view of their drive past their barn. The next day, we had some fun in the studio and I'll share pictures of that tomorrow so stay tuned! ;)
Before I go though, I'll show you one of the cards that I made in Nichole's studio. So much fun getting crafty with the girls.
I used In Bloom and colored the flowers and leaves with copics, and then covered my layers of flowers with Diamond Stickles. There are also dots from Polka Dot Basics II and the sentiment is from Damask Designs.
I'll be back to chat with you again tomorrow. Hope you're having a great week!
