Hi All! Happy Tuesday to you! I have a happy little wintery card to share with you today. I have some very inspiring friends and I feel super, SUPER blessed to be on the Papertrey Design Team with so many of them. Recently, my fun friend Mish did a post on her blog all about the cozy color combo of red and cream and I found it super inspiring. It also reminded me of this beautiful post that my sweet friend Betsy did a little while back, also focusing on the same color combo and I couldn't resist whipping up a little card myself, using red and cream. :)
For my little card, I stamped a tag from the 2009 Holiday Tag Collection and then stamped the 'let it snow' sentiment twice on the tag. I stamped it on vintage cream card stock and layered it on a scalloped circle that I'd punched out, also from vintage cream card stock. By using a little vintage touch tea dye ink on both layers, it gave them just a tad bit of definition, so you can see that they're two different layers, while still being able to keep that cream on cream look. If I'd layered the tag on red card stock, it would have blended into the red polka dotted background and I really wanted it to POP!
The 'Warm Winter Wishes' sentiment is from the Stocking Prints stamp set. I love how well it works with the 'let it snow' thought stamped on the tag. What a fun little card to send to a friend or loved one this winter. :)
