Hello....and Happy Sunday to you!! I'm back again with more cards featuring Vintage Ornaments and Vintage Ornaments Additions! Is this first photo cheery, or what? :) I just love the colors on this card and there are several stamp sets used on this card as well! The ornament and diamond border pattern on the ornament are both from Vintage Ornaments. The dots are of course, Polka Dot Basics II and the sentiment is one from the new 2009 Holiday Tags set -- I thought it was just perfect for this card. And, see that background pattern on the raspberry fizz card stock? That is the new Giga Guide Lines set and I LOVE it!
I just love this diamond border pattern on the ornament. Lots of detail and it's so fun to put a dot of glue and some glitter in the center of each of the teeny diamonds. It makes it so sparkly in real life!
This next card uses the long ornament image as well as a fun triple-diamond pattern. I stamped the ornament in aqua mist ink and stamped the diamonds in dark chocolate and then I added a clear rhinestone to the center of each diamond.
One tip for you when cutting out this long, skinny ornament -- hold the top of the ornament and cut out the long skinny part first, working your way back up and around the top of the ornament. By cutting out the bottom portion first, you have more to hold on to up at the top making it easier to cut out!
I just love this sentiment -- "May you be filled with Peace, Joy & Hope this Christmas and always" -- from Vintage Ornaments. And doesn't that triple diamond pattern just remind you of a cozy winter sweater? :)
The last card I have to show you today is paired up with a couple of different stamp sets. The ornament and starburst border are both from Vintage Ornaments -- you may remember a seeing a longer version of this border pattern earlier in the week, that was designed to fit the widest of the 3 ornaments.
For this one, I stamped the ornament in aqua mist ink and then stamped the starburst border in smokey shadow. Then I added clear rhinestones to the center of each starburst. The sentiment is also one from Vintage Ornaments, however the tag that it's stamped on is one from the new 2009 Holiday Tags set. And notice the pattern on the tag? It coordinates perfectly with this background pattern I stamped using an image from Merry & Bright. Don't you just love how Papertrey has images from different sets like these, that work so well together?
Well, I'm so curious to hear what you think of the Vintage Ornaments sets so far!! Feel free to leave me a comment and tell me what you think! You know how much I love hearing from you.
Nichole will be featuring another brand new stamp set today and you'll also want to stop by and visit Heather Nichols, Lauren Meader and Lisa Johnson! I'll be back tomorrow with not one, but TWO posts for you!
One last thing.....I had the pleasure of being the guest blogger over at Scrapbook News and Review the other day, where I shared another fun project you can do using Vintage Ornaments! Check it out!
