Hello there!! Yesterday I told you about my sister who's birthday is on Valentine's Day and I showed you the birthday card I've made for her this year. I had so much fun making her card and I was loving that color scheme so much, that I decided to make her a whole set of little thank you note cards in the same colors because....well, everyone needs a thank you note sooner or later, right? :)
I used a combination of Polka Dot Basics II stamps and hearts from Simple Valentine and the sentiment I chose is from Papertrey's free anniversary set last year, Everyday Classics. I also mixed in some bitty box basics patterned papers and kept all of my colors to plum pudding, lavender moon, kraft and vintage cream. Each note card is a little different but they're all using basically the same supplies. Makes it so easy to whip up a set of cards!
Here are the envelopes that I included in the set. LOVE them!! I just stamped a strip of the Polka Dot Basics II down the left side of the front of the envelope and then added a couple hearts from Simple Valentine at the bottom. I also used some Vintage Touch tea dye ink around the edges of the envelopes, just like I did on the edges of the cards. It really gives them such a warm, vintage feel.
These cards are 3 1/2" x 4 7/8" and fit in Papertrey's A1 envelopes.
And here are the cards, all lined up like little toy soldiers. Ahhh....makes me happy! Hopefully they'll make my sister happy too! Ha.
I've got big plans to hopefully finish up the last of the Christmas shopping and then get all my wrapping done in the next couple of days. I'd like to have it all finished by the weekend so we can really enjoy the week of Christmas and take it easy a little. We'll see how it goes. ;)
