Hi there!! I'm so excited to introduce you to the newest stamp set release in the Raspberry Suite line-up (available Feb. 15)......Studio Style!!
Have you ever wished that you had a stamp set dedicated to this hobby that we love?? How about a stamp set filled with fun sentiments just perfect for making cards to send to your crafty friends?? Well, if so, then I've got just the stamp set for you! Studio Style is a fun, fun, fun stamp set with some crafty images and lots of handy (and in some cases, funny) sentiments that all revolve around paper crafting!! I can't wait for you to see this set in it's entirety but for now, how about a few sneak peeks? :)
All of the Studio Style cards I have to share with you today feature one of the main focal images from this set.....a jar of buttons. Look familiar??? *wink* On this first card, I stamped 3 of them on kraft card stock and then punched them out with a 1 3/4" circle punch. I adhered them to a rustic cream panel which had been punched along the bottom edge with a Fiskars upper crest punch and then inked with vintage touch tea dye ink. And check out that sentiment!! "Wishing you a day to get your craft on!" How much fun would it be to send a card like this to a crafty friend? Maybe even to an online friend....someone you've met in a crafty forum or a blog friend you've made! Wouldn't this totally brighten your day if it came in the mail to you?! Just think how much your creative friends would love it!
On this next card, I stamped the button jars on vintage cream card stock and then colored the buttons in with my Copic markers. With Papertrey offering a Copic color chart showing you which Copics to use to coordinate with Papertrey's colors, it makes is super easy to color the buttons in to look like Papertrey's buttons! I just love that! For my buttons, I used the markers that coordinate with aqua mist and ripe avocado.
This card also features a pair of sentiments from Studio Style that were designed to work together. I think you're gonna like them. Hee! The front of the card says, "We're actually supposed to use our supplies?" And the inside says.....
"I thought we were just collecting them!" Haha! Come on now.....how many of you would agree with me that the collecting of crafting supplies is half the fun?!! LOL! I have a FEW crafty friends that I could sooooo send a card like this to! Haha.
And one last Studio Style card for today.....this one features the super handy sentiment, "Happy Birthday, Crafty Girl!" Not only would this sentiment work for a crafty grown up, but you could also use this for the little girls in your life that like to get a little crafty too!
On this card, I used the new small scallop die that will be available on the 15th at Papertrey. I'm so, so sorry but I can't stop using these new scallop dies. I figure I might as well apologize now, so that you won't be surprised when you see scallops on my projects all week long! Hee. The patterned paper on this card is from the Pretty Pastels collection and I colored the buttons in this jar with the Copics that coordinate with berry sorbet.
Next up, I have a card to show you using some more new embellies from the Volume 1 Color Couture collection. The tag, flower and ric-rac trim are all embellies from the collection and I used them in conjunction with several different stamps. The sentiment is one from my Signature Greetings stamp set. I layered it on the tag embellie and tucked it just under the flower embellie.
Behind the tag, you can see a small flourish (from Fancy Flourishes) peeking out, which I stamped in versamark ink. And on the dark chocolate strip along the bottom of the card, I stamped a pattern from Background Basics: Petal Power in vintage cream ink.
I love that with the Color Couture embellies, you totally have the ability to use them with stamps that you already own! Their versatility really is amazing.
Before I go today, would you like a sneakie peek at the new Color Couture Inspiration Binder??? :)
This is the Inspiration Binder that all of the Color Couture goodies were designed to be stored in. Oh my word, how FUN right?
And just look at the spine! ACK! How cute would this look on your studio shelf?? LOVE.
All righty, my dears, that's all the peeks I've got for you today. I'll be back every day this week during the Papertrey Countdown with more Studio Style peeks as well as more Color Couture peeks so I hope you'll join me each day for the fun! And if you've got time, I'd love to hear your initial reaction to Studio Style -- do you have friends that you could totally use a set like this for? And what do you think of the Color Couture Inspiration Binder?? Leave a comment -- I'd love to hear from you!
Nichole and Betsy Veldman have more exciting sneak peeks for you today, and you'll want to be sure and visit Niki Estes, Heather Nichols, Alli Miles and Melissa Bickford to get glimpses at their new sets for this month as well.
