Hello there and welcome to Day 3 of sneak peeks at my new Studio Style stamp set and my Color Couture collection (both available on Feb. 15 at Papertrey Ink). I'm so glad you've popped in today. I'm excited to show you the other main focal image from the Studio Style stamp set.....a stack of ribbon! Cute, right???
On this first card, I used the "stack of ribbon" stamp as well as a fun sentiment from Studio Style....."Thank You, Crafty Friend!" I colored the ribbons with my Copic markers in colors that coordinate with berry sorbet card stock and ribbon. On the sweet blush layer of card stock, you can see that I used one of the new polka dot impressions plates as well as the new medium scallop edge die and the ribbons and sentiment were stamped on card stock cut out with the new Fillable Frames #1 die. (both the dies and the impression plates will be available on Feb. 15)
Next up is the same "stack of ribbon" image, this time colored in greens. You can also get a peek at another new background stamp from the Background Basics: Tin Types stamp set stamped on the ripe avocado layer.
Check out this new sentiment from Studio Style! Haha!! So true, right?? :)
Ok, so on this next card, I literally laughed out loud while I was making it, just thinking about giving this to one of my crafty friends. First, check out the stack of ribbon.....I colored them in colors to coordinate with hibiscus burst and summer sunrise. I stamped some Polka Dot Basics II in fresh snow on the summer sunrise layer of card stock and layered it on a bit of soft stone card stock that I'd scalloped with the new small scallop edge die. The card base is also soft stone card stock.
Ok, so I hand wrote on the front of the card, "Repeat after me..."
And the inside says, "Hoarding = bad Crafting = good! Hoarding = bad Crafting = good!" Heeeee. Couldn't you see yourself sending a card like this to a crafty friend who just hates to use her favorite supplies because you just never know when you might need it for something more important or special?! LOL! I think almost all of us have been there at one time or another!
All right, so lastly for today, I have a card for you that features another Color Couture embellie. I used the "Hi-ya, Cookie!" embellie from the Volume 1 Color Couture collection and I layered it on a bit of raspberry fizz card stock that I die cut using the new Fillable Frames #1 die. So much fun to layer die cuts with the Color Couture embellies!
Again, you can see that I used the polka dot impressions plate on the background layer and I added a bit of dark chocolate grosgrain ribbon and a button tied with a bit of rustic cream button twine.
I hope you've enjoyed your time with me today. Did you have a favorite project from today's post? What do you think of that "stack of ribbon" stamp?? Can't wait to hear your thoughts! :)
