Oh, how I love to travel and OH how I love to come hoooooome!
It's so good to be back home, sleeping in our own bed at night. :) We had a great vacation in Australia but now that we're back, we're trying to get back into the swing of things. I've got a few deadlines to meet right off the bat this week and then we start right back in on work for the next Papertrey release so it'll likely be a busy couple of weeks for me and then hopefully things will slow down a tad. Bartley will have a few busy days at work, I'm sure, as he gets caught up on things, but thankfully basketball season is now behind us. So at least he'll be home in the evenings again for awhile....until fall. YAY! I sure did miss him today while he was at work -- I got spoiled getting to be with him 24/7 for the last 2 1/2 weeks! Riley's awfully glad to have us home too....he hasn't wanted to lose sight of us for a second and he keeps looking at us like he's just not sure if we're gonna leave again or if we're really home to stay. Poor sweetie boy. He's gotten his fair share of snuggles since we got home. I think he was pretty excited to see the suitcases being put back in the closet!
I can't wait to upload and edit all of our vacation photos so I can share them with you but it'll probably be a few days, as I need to get my work done first. ;)
I hope you're all doing well. I've certainly missed you all too. You might not realize it, but I've grown quite attached to all of you out there in blog land. Hee.
I guess I'd better get to the card, huh? Today's card is one that was published in the new Go To Sketches issue from PaperCrafts Magazine. I've heard that this issue is now available in stores. My copy was here waiting for me in the giant post-vacation mail pile when we got home! (I love the giant post-vacation mail pile. It's pretty much a certainty that there will be at least SOME fun mail in that huge pile! Haha.) Anyway, I didn't waste any time flipping thru Go To Sketches yesterday and I loved it! So many adorable cards....totally inspiring! If you haven't yet, you might want to check it out!
This card features lots of my favorite things......fun colors, polka dots, scallops, pretty text and even a big ol' butterfly....all good things. The sentiment is from the Spiral Bouquet stamp set. I love that font!
I punched the scalloped border with my embossed curve punch by Fiskars. I die cut the butterfly using my Bigz Butterfly Die from Stampin' Up! and stamped some Background Basics: Text Style on it and of course, stamped some Polka Dot Basics II on the hibiscus burst background. Happy sigh.
All righty.....Bart's home so I'm off to spend a bit of time with my boys, while getting some computer work done at the same time. Good thing I can multi-task. *wink*
