Hi there. Ruffles, anyone? Hee. I got a little scallop crazy tonight and created a card with layers and layers of scalloped borders that look like ruffles when you fluff them up a little bit! Fun, huh?
I used Papertrey's new medium scalloped border die to create the ruffles from pages of vintage book print from an old book and before I adhered them to the card, I inked the scalloped edge of each layer with vintage touch tea dye ink. Then, after I had all of the layers adhered to the card, I just slightly curled the edges forward with my fingers. Easy peasy!
Since it was such a soft, vintagey feel, I really wanted a sentiment that added to that look so I pulled out the Everyday Classics stamp set, which was a past anniversary set from Papertrey. I also used the Background Basics: Tin Types stamp set to add just a bit of pattern to the aqua mist strip of card stock and then topped it all off with a soft and sweet bow and threaded button. I just love how this turned out.
So, what have you been up to this week? I'm starting to think 'trip' and am still hard at work checking things off my to-do list. I hope your week is going well!!
