Welcome, Little Baby

Hi-ya! So, I made another baby boy card with Heather's new Green Boutique patterned paper collection! I just can't resist those dots and the sweet journaling tags. This time, I pulled out the adorable teddy bear image from the Baby Button Bits stamp set and I stamped it on some of the Green Boutique patterned paper. Then, I cut it out and layered it on the journaling tag before adding a button to his belly. I stamped two sentiments from Baby Button Bits on the journaling tag and finished the card off with a strip of hawaiian shores felt ric rac. Delish!

So, I hope you're having a good weekend! We're spending a few days at Gold Coast with John & Lynn and are looking forward to our last two Aussie Meet n' Greets Sunday and Monday. Can't wait!

Hi there! I'm Dawn McVey and I'd like to welcome you to my little corner of the internet. My hope is that you'll find this place warm and welcoming! I'm a graphic designer with a heart for God. I love color and all things vintage! I live with my handsome husband, Bart, and Windsor, our sweet labrador retriever. I was extremely sick for more than 8 years and eventually had a rare small intestine transplant on October 28, 2017! During those years of being so sick, I got lots of practice learning how to choose joy in the midst of extreme suffering! ;) I'm so, so grateful for all that the Lord has done in our lives to bless us and to bring me to a place of health! He used that long season of illness to draw us closer to Him and we've also seen Him use our transplant story in amazing ways, to pour faith, hope and joy into the lives of others. Those years of struggle were so hard, but I wouldn't trade them because I can see how He was with us every step of the way and how He was using every bit of it for our good and His glory. My hope now, is that I can encourage you to choose joy in the midst of your own struggles. While you're here, I hope you laugh or smile or find some inspiration and encouragement. I hope you enjoy your time with me and ultimately, I hope you see some of HIM while you're here. He is everything. Much love, friends…
