Hi-ya, Sweets! How aaaaare you? I feel like it's been ages since I chatted with you all. We came home from Australia to product design deadlines right away so I spent my week trying to overcome the lovely jet lag feeling of being tiiiiiiiired while at the same time, designing products to meet those deadlines. I'm happy to report that I got my work done and those deadlines are now behind me. Of course, the life of a designer is pretty much living from one deadline to the next, but I love that feeling of peace that comes with meeting a deadline and having a teensy bit of respite before the next deadline looms. Ha!
As it turned out, I finished up the last of my work that had to be done asap, just as Bart got home on Friday so we went out and celebrated with dinner, shopping and gelato. A perfect evening. Yesterday (Saturday) was more shopping (lots of birthday gifts to buy for various loved ones right now) followed by dinner out with friends at our favorite Mexican restaurant. I can't tell you how happy that dinner made me! LOL! We've been craving really great Mexican since before our vacation and just hadn't had time to squeeze it in so that food tasted AWESOME last night! :) We've become such foodies, haven't we?
Tomorrow, I'll dive in to preparations for the April Papertrey release which is just around the corner. So excited! Fun things coming!!! And while last week, my design work was largely on the computer, this week will be ALL PAPER and I can't wait! I haven't paper crafted in 3 1/2 weeks so I'm itching to get back in the studio! For today though, I have a few cards to share with you. These were published in the March issue of CARDS Magazine. Sigh. I love CARDS Magazine. It's just so preeeeetty. Always.
That first card up there at the top of this post (before my rambling monologue...ha) features some yummy Hero Arts goodies (flower and background) as well as a sentiment from Papertrey and lots of luscious ribbon ruffles. I love ribbon ruffles, don't you?
This little ditty is all Papertrey. Those wellies and the sentiment on this one are from my Scattered Showers Additions stamp set. So perfect for this time of year in the US!
And lastly, a fabric and felt flower that I whipped up. The sentiment is from Papertrey's Mega Mixed Messages stamp set. Such a great sentiment set. I find myself pulling that one out all the time.
Well, it's Easter Sunday here in the US. We went to church this morning and I'm feeling so full of love and gratitude. So grateful for my relationship with God. So grateful for the sacrifice that Jesus made for me....and you. And so grateful that He is RISEN! Don't worry, I won't get all preachy on you. *smile* I just have a grateful heart this morning and I'm looking forward to spending the rest of the day with family. We're off to lunch w/Bart's side of the family and will hopefully be able to squeeze in a little time with my side of the fam this evening as well. (I miss "the babies"! (my 2yr old niece and 1yr old nephew)) ;)
I hope that this Easter has some meaning for you as well. I hope that you are feeling grateful......for family, for friends, for awesome Mexican food, for something. If so, what are you feeling thankful for today?
I'm thankful for lots of things and just so you know, I'm also thankful for YOU.
Happy Easter, Peeps! (Ha...pun intended!!)
much love,
