Hey there! Can you even believe that we're already to the last day of the Papertrey Countdown? All of the new products you've been getting sneak peeks at over the last 5 days will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink on July 15 at midnight, EST......so just a few hours to go! Here's a quick recap of all of the products that I have coming out in this release:
It's Official Stamp Set $24
It's Official Patterned Paper Collection $8
Admit One Impression Plate $16
XL Rick Rack Die $8
Color Couture July Download $5
I told you yesterday that I had saved one of my favorite images from It's Official for this last day of the Countdown so I'm thrilled to now be able to give you your first peeks at the "order ticket" image!! Aaaaaaand, the fabulous thing about this particular image is that it coordinates perfectly with the new Spiral Notebook Die that Nichole introduced on her blog yesterday! I have fallen in LOVE with this little stamp and die combo and have lots of projects to show you today, using them both, as well as a quickie tutorial video!
On this first card, I decided to take what would normally be a ver "office-y" type embellishment and make it ultra soft and girly! I die cut the notebook page from simply chartreuse card stock using the new Spiral Notebook Die and then stamped the "order ticket" image from It's Official in true black ink. Then I stamped a flourish from Fancy Flourishes on the order ticket in versamark ink. Next, I punched out some butterflies from vintage book print with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and I also die cut a larger butterfly from patterned paper (from the It's Official patterned paper collection) with Papertrey's butterfly die. I inked up the edges of each layer with vintage touch tea dye ink. For the small butterflies, I stacked up 3 of them and attached them together with tiny brads and then adhered them to the order ticket. On the larger butterfly, I added another small butterfly as well as a vintage cream button threaded with chocolate baker's twine.
I stamped two different scroll-y images from Recipe Box Label on the aqua mist card base using versamark ink. I wanted to create a bit of a subtle frame around the order ticket and these label images worked perfectly! As for the "Thank You" sentiment, it's one from Big & Bold Wishes that I stamped with versamark ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Next up, I thought I'd make a card that is decidedly more masculine. :) However, the great thing about this card is that you could keep it as is or change out the sentiment or colors to make this for lots of different occasions. It's quick and easy so you could whip up a stack of them to have on hand!
I started out with a kraft card base and I ran the bottom edge of the card thru my sewing machine without any thread, so that I could get a nice clean pierced line. The dotted paper is from the 2009 Bitty Dot Basics collection. To that, I tied a bit of chocolate baker's twine around the card for some added interest.
As for the order ticket, it was cut out of rustic cream card stock with the Spiral Notebook Die and stamped with the order ticket image from It's Official. Since I knew I was creating a belated birthday card, I thought the "Past Due" sentiment from It's Official would be the perfect addition to the order ticket and I stamped that in pure poppy ink. The label was created by die cutting a piece of terracotta tile card stock with Heather Nichols' new Fillable Frames #6 die and then stamping the coordinating frame image from the Fillable Frames #6 stamp set. The sentiment is from Alli Miles' new Birthday Bash Sentiments.
And just to show you how quick and easy it is to make these order ticket embellies, I put together a little video for you......
Sooo......did I tell you these were simple to make, or what? :) Are you getting excited yet, about whipping some of them up for yourself??
Next up is a fun card with a stack of colorful order tickets! I started out with an aqua mist card stock base. At the top of the card, I stamped the large flourish type image from Big & Bold Wishes in hawaiian shores ink. Along the bottom of the card, I stamped a border image from Background Basics: Diamonds in versamark ink and then added a strip of hawaiian shores card stock. The "I appreciate you so much" sentiment is also from Big & Bold Wishes.
I die cut each order ticket from raspberry fizz, hawaiian shores and berry sorbet card stock using the Spiral Notebook Die and then I stamped each order ticket image using fresh snow ink. I added the "Posted" sentiment (another from It's Official) to the bottom of the first order ticket using dark chocolate ink and then followed that up by stamping the "You Make Me Smile" sentiment from Signature Greetings. The bottom right corners of the order tickets were curled up and I also rumpled up the spiral edge at the top. In the upper right corner, I added a raspberry fizz flower that I die cut using a Beautiful Blooms II die and added a vintage cream button. The order tickets are clipped together with a regular paper clip and then secured together with a bit of adhesive between each layer.
Lastly for today is one more card for you, this one with a bit more traditional-looking cream colored order ticket. I LOVE how the simple order ticket adds SO much detail to the focal image on this card! I started with a ripe avocado card base on this one and added one of the patterned papers from the Color Couture July Download. Isn't that paper just striking on this card? This particular paper coordinates with the Color Couture Vol. 5 Embellies. Along the bottom of the patterned paper, I added a strip of simply chartreuse card stock that I scalloped using the small scallop border die and stitched with my sewing machine.
As for that sassy little flower, that's an embellie from the Color Couture Vol. 5 Embellies collection. I simply cut out the flower and the leaves, inked up the edges a bit and adhered them to the little order ticket. Then I added a threaded simply chartreuse button to the center of the flower and a few little rhinestones. The "Thank You" sentiment is one from It's Official.
Well my friends, that's all I have for you today however I'm over-the-moon excited for you to check out Nichole Heady's blog today because she's showcasing It's Official as well as another new set. Also, Maile Belles has some sneak peeks for you and Heather Nichols, Niki Estes and Alli Miles will also have one more day of peeks for you, at their newest stamp sets.
Are you excited about It's Official? I'd love to hear from you! I so appreciate you taking the time to spend of bit of your day with me. Thank you so much for dropping by and I'll be back tomorrow with all of my other Papertrey release projects.
Have a goodie!!
