Hi-ya! It's Day 3 of the Papertrey Countdown and I'm back with peeks at the Color Couture Vol. 9 embellies. I've got a couple of fun cards to share with you so let's get right to it!
First up is fall birthday card that I just love. I started out with a white card base and added a layer of dark chocolate card stock. I rounded the top two corners with a corner chomper and used a new impression plate on it too. *wink!*
As for the focal point of the card, I used the Mat Stack 3 die to create the pretty label behind the flowers. I cut the shape from melon berry card stock and then I stamped it with my Background Basics: Woodgrain stamp set using versamark ink. The flower and leaves/stem are embellies from the Color Couture Vol. 9 collection. I simply cut them out and adhered them to the label shape. That big ole button is a melon berry button....I love how shimmery it is. Just perfect for this flower's center. I threaded the button with a bit of chocolate baker's twine.
The sentiment is another Color Couture embellie that I trimmed out and adhered to the front of the card with a bit of foam adhesive. Behind that is a skinny strip of terracotta tile card stock wrapped with more chocolate baker's twine.
And now, just 'cause I know some of you are wondering, here's a peek at all of the Vol. 9 embellies in this month's Color Couture collection...... ;)
Mmmm.....cozy. Right?
One last Color Couture card for you today. I love how simple this one is and yet there are lots of fun little details. I couldn't resist using the spiral notebook page die with a bit of kraft card stock to start out with. On that, I stamped the "order ticket" image from It's Official in dark chocolate ink and then added a couple of flourish images from Embellishments in fresh snow ink.
On top of the order ticket, I added a "thinking of you" Color Couture embellie that I punched with a 1 3/4" circle punch. The flower is another embellie that I cut out and adhered to the circle. To that, I added a little melon berry button. Sweet!
Behind the "order ticket", I tucked in a bit of stamper's select white card stock that I die cut using the new Mat Stack 4 die. I love how just the pretty, curvy sides peek out from behind the little order ticket. You can also see on the terracotta tile card base, that I used the Woodgrain Impression Plate for a bit more added texture. Can't stop using that thing this week! Ha.
All righty then, that's it for me but remember that this is my first of TWO POSTS for today so be sure and check out my Tiny Treats: Halloween post! You'll also want to visit each and every one of the Design Team girlies today because they've all got a fun project or two to share with you. Alli Miles, Beth Silaika and Tiffany Pastor will all be showing you more of their new stamp sets as well. TONS of Papertrey inspiration to be had today! Happy blog-hopping! :)
I'll be back tomorrow with more Color Couture goodies to share.
Take care, Dearies,
