Hello there and welcome back to day 5 of the Papertrey Countdown!! That means that tonight is the night when all of the new goodies you've been spying all week will finally be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink!
For today, we've got another fun Group Post for you which means that all of the girls on the Design Team will have projects to share with you. Today, we're focusing on a REALLY fun stamp set that I just know you're going to love! It's called Everyday Treats and was designed by Nichole Heady to help you create adorable custom treat and gift packaging. However, as you'll see by all of the projects the team is sharing today, Everyday Treats can also be used to create super cute cards too!
For my treat packaging, I started out with a jar of honey and a box of tea. I wanted to create cute little wraps for both items so I pulled out some terracotta tile felt.
To create this adorable (and simple!) wrap, I wrapped a strip of felt around the tea box and secured it in the back with scor-tape. Then, I used the mat stack 4 die to die cut a piece of rustic cream card stock which I then stamped with one of the coordinating label images from Everyday Treats! Is that a fun label image or what?!
Next, I stamped one of the circle images from Everyday Treats on another piece of rustic cream card stock in terracotta tile ink, followed by one of the handy little treat sentiments, "Spice Tea", in dark chocolate ink. Lastly, I stamped the cute little teacup image with vintage touch tea dye ink. I punched out the circle with a 1 3/4" circle punch and layered it on a bit of scalloped terracotta tile card stock. More scor-tape was used to secure the label to the felt.
I went for a simple wrap on the honey, using similar elements as on the tea wrap. Terracotta tile felt, a bit of fine linen saddle stitch ribbon, another pretty circle label stamp from Everyday Treats as well as the teacup image again.
More of the same here on the coordinating gift bag. I love how I was able to coordinate the wraps with the gift bag, keeping everything really cohesive.
Now, don't think for a second that Everyday Treats is only for creating treat packaging! Just look at these fun little tags I created!!!
I love, love, love the custom sentiments I pulled together by pairing the "Sweets" and "Cupcake" sentiments from Everyday Treats with the "Hey there" and "Make a Wish" sentiments from Fillable Frames #6 stamp set!
I started out with the Tag Sale #1 die to cut out two tags. This one is kraft with an aqua mist hole reinforcer. The rick rack die was used to add some sweet blush card stock rick rack to the bottom of the tag. Now what do you think of the gorgeous label image???? It's another image from Everyday Treats and coordinates with the mat stack 1 die. LOVE! I heat embossed the label image with clear embossing powder. I just love how pretty and shiny it is in real life!
This tag uses all of the same colors as on the previous tag.....they're just jumbled up a bit for a different but color-coordinated look!
These tags are perfect to have on hand to tie onto a gift OR they can be used right on the front of a card like this.....
I started out with a kraft card base and simply added a bit of patterned paper from my It's Official collection as well as 3 strips of aqua mist card stock that were die cut using the medium scalloped border die. I finished the card base off with a knot of aqua mist saddle stitch ribbon. All that was left to do was pop the sweet little tag on the front of the card! Fun, right?!
So, one more card for you today. The above photo is what one of the Simply Scallops card templates from the September Color Couture Download looks like when you print it out. Then you just cut it out, score it, fold it, and you're good to go. I showed you yesterday, a couple of cards using some of these templates, but did you know that you can cut out and use just a portion of the template on a standard card base too?? :) Just lookie....
I cut out only the bottom portion of the card template from stamper's select white card stock rather than the entire card, ran it thru the Big Shot with the new Background Basics: Diamonds impression plate and then adhered it to a 6" x 3.5" card front! I just LOVE how this looks and it's sooooo easy to do! What a pretty white layer, don't you think? I even added a bit of glitter along the scalloped edge of the white card stock with my two-way glue pen.
As you can see, I used the mat stack 1 die again, as well as that pretty coordinating stamp from Everyday Treats -- this time, stamping versamark ink on simply chartreuse card stock. The other circle embellies that are added are all from the Vol. 7 Color Couture collection. Such a fun and easy card to create....perfect for letting someone know you've been thinking about them.
So, be sure to visit all of the other Design Team members to see their Everyday Treats projects -- you are NOT gonna want to miss them!
