Hellooooo and welcome! I'm so glad you stopped by today! It's day 4 of the Papertrey Countdown. We're getting closer and closer to release day......I know some of you are getting SO excited! And you haven't even seen everything yet! Ahhh.....countdown time is so much fun, isn't it? :)
Let's get right to today's projects, shall we? First up, I started with a vintage cream card base and I gave it some texture with the new Holly Jolly impression plate. Can you see the texture?
Then, I used the limitless layers: 1.75" circle dies to add some layers to the bottom of the card. On the dark chocolate circle on the left, I stamped one of the small accent images from Big & Bold Holiday Wishes several times in a circle, to create a bit of a flower image and then topped it off with a pure poppy button. The sentiment, "Warmest Winter Wishes", is from my new On Ice stamp set and I finished off the card with another fun little ice skate/sock/pom pom ensemble from On Ice. Love this color combo for a bright and cheery winter card!
Next up is another wintery card with some of the same elements as the first card, but with a very different overall look. The sentiment, "Enjoy the chill of winter!", is another from On Ice. This time, I stamped the sock in new leaf ink and the pom poms in pure poppy.
I used the Holly Jolly impression plate on the background again and added a strip of patterned paper from the new Christmas Prints collection. I created a fun scalloped border along the bottom by die cutting the pretty little doily shape from the new Limitless Labels collection and then cutting them in half.
I thought you might like to see the entire contents of the October Color Couture Download so here's a peek at the cover. The papers included in this download were designed to coordinate with the Color Couture Vol. 7-9 Embellie Collection. As you can see, the download includes 4 card templates, 6 patterned papers and 3 inspiration pages featuring brand new projects and instructions by Melissa Phillips, Betsy Veldman and myself. And all of that is just $5!
Wanna peek at one of those new patterned papers in action? :)
Here you go....
I inked the edges of the paper with a bit of vintage touch tea dye ink and adhered the entire panel to the card base with foam adhesive. Then I added a couple of thin strips of dark chocolate card stock as well as a strip of distressed dots patterned paper.
I used more limitless layers dies for the focal point of the card and stamped the vintage cream layer with the "Thank you, Sweet Friend" sentiment from On Ice. All that was left was to finish it off with a couple of dark chocolate buttons and one terracotta tile button.
Ok, Peeps.....that wraps it up for me today but I sooo hope you'll come back tomorrow for the final day of the Countdown. Hint: It's gonna be a FUN blog post day! ;)
For now, be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Mish Wooderson and Maile Belles for today's featured stamp sets and Heather Nichols, Alli Miles and Becky Oehlers will also be showcasing their newest goodies.
Thanks for stopping by, dearies.....see you again soon!
