Hello there and welcome to day 1 of the Papertrey Countdown!!! I have sooo much to share with you this week! I think you're going to loooove all of the new goodies that are being released this month. All of the new products you'll be getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase on Nov. 15 at Papertrey Ink.
I'm thrilled to be introducing to you, a new series of stamp sets that I've been working on.....Signature Series. Each Signature Series stamp set is just $5 and contains one fun and versatile image with a handwritten word on it, as well as 4 other sentiments that incorporate more of my hand-writing -- that's 5 "signature" stamps per set. Not only that, but each Signature Series stamp set will also have a coordinating die (also $5), to allow you to quickly and easily cut out the image in each set!! The dies are so versatile that they can even be used by themselves! You'll see what I mean when you see the dies in action this week!
Now as if all of that info isn't exciting enough, I'm also happy to report that we're releasing four different Signature Series stamp sets this month!!! You got a sneak peak already at Signature Series: Dress Form several days ago and I'll have more peeks at that set for you later in the week. I'll be showing you projects using all 4 of the new Signature Series stamp sets, but for today, I thought we'd focus on Signature Series: Cupcake. Let's get right to the projects!
Here is a sweet little card (hee!) that showcases the adorable cupcake image from Signature Series: Cupcake and it's coordinating die. I die cut a bit of rustic cream card stock with the Signature Series: Cupcake die and then stamped the coordinating cupcake image from the Signature Series: Cupcake stamp set. I topped the cupcake with a pure poppy button, threaded with pure poppy baker's twine. The cupcake is layered on a bit of berry sorbet card stock that was die cut with the mat stack 1 die and I stamped a gorgeous coordinating label image from the new Mat Stack 1 Collection stamp set. You are going to looooove that stamp set! I can't seem to stop using it!
I used the background basics: diamonds impression plate to add a bit of texture to the pure poppy card stock. The "Hi-ya, Sweets" sentiment is one from Signature Series: Cupcake.
Here's a peek at the Signature Series: Cupcake die. ;)
This next card shows how easy it is to use the Signature Series: Cupcake die by itself. I die cut a cupcake from dark chocolate felt and then die cut another cupcake from pure poppy felt. Next, I cut the top part off the red cupcake using pinking sheers and adhered the red felt "cup" portion to the dark chocolate cupcake! I stitched a pure poppy button to the top of the cupcake with a bit of pure poppy baker's twine. Can't you just imagine creating these darling cupcake embellies in all different felt color combos?!! LOVE!
I layered the cupcake on another mat stack 1 die cut. I told you I couldn't seem to stop using the new Mat Stack 1 Collection stamp set! That's a bit of 2008 Bitty Star Basics patterned paper in the background.
To finish off the card, I used the "wishing you a happy birthday." sentiment, also from Mat Stack 1 collection. You might notice a couple other new items on this card.....Nichole will be telling you more about that later in the week! *wink*
Inside the card, I used the library pocket die to create a little gift card holder. I LOVE tucking gift cards into birthday cards like this! So easy and much cuter than the holders that most gift cards come in.
All right, this is the last card (for today!) that I used the new Mat Stack 1 Collection stamp set on! Haha. I stamped the dark chocolate image on some It's Official patterned paper. Then, I stamped the image again on vintage cream card stock and cut out the center portion to adhere inside the patterned paper image. I stamped another sentiment from Signature Series: Cupcake inside the scroll-y image, "So Blessed to call you friend".
The mat stack 1 shape is layered on a bit of vintage book print that I stamped a damask pattern onto, using Damask Designs and summer sunrise ink. Hawaiian Shores buttons threaded with pure poppy baker's twine finished off the look.
This month, I'm also thrilled to introduce the a new round of Color Couture Embellies -- volumes 10-12. The collection includes 15 pages of pre-printed embellies and trims (3 different color combos), 3 color combo dividers perfect for tucking into the Color Couture Binder, as well as 9 inspiration pages -- each with full-color photos and instructions for recreating the cards -- designed by Betsy Veldman, Melissa Phillips and myself. And all of those goodies are included for just $12.
Above is a peek at the Volume 10 embellie collection.
And here's a card using some of those embellies as well as the "My sweet friend" sentiment from Signature Series: Cupcake. The sentiment is stamped in dark chocolate ink on the kraft card stock base.
I adhered one of the Color Couture trim strips to the card base and then layered on Color Couture flower embellies that I cut out and adhered to limitless layers die cuts. Dark chocolate threaded buttons finished off this little number.
Before I go today, I've got one more Color Couture card for you. On this one, I started out with a simply chartreuse card stock base which I distressed with a bit of vintage touch tea dye ink and then ran thru my Big Shot with the Guide Lines Grid impression plate.
There's a bit of Distressed Dots patterned paper here, trimmed with some scalloped stamper's select white card stock. I also used a bit of kraft card stock with the newest die and coordinating stamp from Heather Nichols' Fillable Frames collection. The "You are a blessing to me" circle and leaves are all from the Color Couture Vol. 10 embellie collection. Each collection includes several different circle tags like this one, designed to be punched out with a 1.75" circle punch.
All right, Friends....that's all for me today. I can't WAIT to hear your thoughts on the new Signature Series stamp sets and Color Couture Embellies! I'll be back tomorrow with more Signature Series and Color Couture peeks.....there's lots more to come, Dearies!
In the meantime, Nichole Heady and Betsy Veldman are showcasing more new stamp sets today. Plus, you'll want to visit Heather Nichols, Lisa Johnson and Alli Miles for peeks at their newest stamp sets. Thanks so much for stopping by......hope to see you back again tomorrow!
