Hi there and welcome back to day 2 of the Papertrey Countdown! Today, I'm so excited to introduce you to another new stamp set being released this month, Signature Series: Butterfly! Just like all of the other Signature Series sets being released this month, Signature Series: Butterfly is just $5 and has a coordinating Signature Series: Butterfly die, also for $5. Both new items will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink on Nov. 15.
Here's a peek at the Signature Series: Butterfly die......I know sometimes, it just helps to see the die itself. :)
On this first card, you can see the "Dream" butterfly image that is included in Signature Series: Butterfly. I die cut a bit of rustic cream card stock and then stamped the butterfly image in hawaiian shores ink. I used a bit of scor-tape to secure the butterfly to the card front and then pulled the wings slightly forward. I just love this look. I used some vintage book print as my background paper and layered it on a hawaiian shores card stock base.
One really fun feature about the Signature Series: Butterfly die is that it is slightly larger than the butterfly die that Niki Estes designed, making them perfect for layering together! See the butterflies on the left? The yellow butterfly was cut with the Signature Series: Butterfly die using a bit of Distressed Dots patterned paper. Then, I used the smaller butterfly die with a bit of It's Official patterned paper to create the checkered layer and topped them both off with a pure poppy button and a bit of pure poppy baker's twine.
This just shows you once again, how versatile each of these Signature Series dies are!
I used some vintage touch tea dye ink around the edges of the card base and stamped the "Bloom & grow forever" sentiment from Signature Series: Butterfly in true black ink.
Ahhh....this next card makes me happy. I just love these colors together. I used rustic cream card stock for the card base and layered on one of my favorite patterned papers from Green Boutique. To the bottom of the card, I added a ripe avocado die-cut border (stay tuned for more info about that from Nichole later in the week!) as well as a thin strip of hawaiian shores card stock and two ripe avocado buttons. And of course, I inked the edges of everything with vintage touch tea dye ink.
I used the mat stack 3 die with more rustic cream card stock and stamped another sentiment from Signature Series: Butterfly. I just love that sentiment, "Wishing you a lovely day".
Using the Signature Series: Butterfly die as well as the butterfly die again, I was able to stitch together two layers of card stock butterflies right to the mat stack layer. So, so pretty and yet so simple!
More butterfly layers here.....these butterflies have 3 felt layers each -- 1 Signature Series: Butterfly die layer and 2 {smaller} butterfly die layers, all stitched to the piece of Distressed Dots patterned paper before adhering it to the card front.
I simply hand cut a little banner point on the sentiment strip with scissors and stamped another sentiment from Signature Series: Butterfly. This one is something my mom has been saying for as long as I can remember....."Thanks a million". :)
All righty, how about we talk Color Couture Embellies for a bit. This is a peek at the new Volume 11 collection of embellies.......so wintery and FUN! (Remember that Volumes 10, 11 & 12 are all packaged together in one jam-packed embellie collection for $12!)
I thought I'd show you how easy it is to cut a few of these out, layer them with some of the trim strips and whip up an adorable set of Christmas-y, snowy gift tags! Color Couture Embellies make it soooo easy! Everything has already been designed and color coordinated for you -- just cut them out, layer them up and you're good to go!
Here's a set of 4 simple little gift tags.....so fast, but so colorful and fun, don't you think? I used the tag sale #1 die with pure poppy card stock to create each of the tag bases and then set to piling on the embellies and trims. Here are some close up photos, so you can see the details on each one....
This one has snippets of 3 different trim strips adhered along the bottom of the tag. I cut out two of the snowflake embellies, layered them with foam adhesive, added a threaded berry sorbet button and frosted them up with Martha Stewart glitter! Nothin' to it!
One trim strip here, as well as one of my favorite little tag embellies. I simply punched out the "Holly Jolly" tag and layered it on a limitless layers die cut and sprinkled on the glitter.
Another trim strip along the bottom of this tag as well as another punched "Noel" circle embellie. This one is layered on a stamped image from the new mat stack 1 collection (also available on Nov. 15). More glitter finished this tag off.
More of the same here, and yet because there are so many different embellies in the collection to work with, I'm able to make each tag a bit different than the last. I just love that!
All right, my dears.....that's all I've got to share with you for today, but rest assured I'll be back tomorrow with lots more goodies to show you! I hope you'll join me again! What do you think of Signature Series: Butterfly so far? Are you a fan of the Vol. 11 collection of Color Couture Embellies?
Today, Nichole Heady and Heather Nichols are showcasing Heather's newest sets. You'll also want to visit Lisa Johnson and Alli Miles for more peeks at their new goodies.
Thanks for stopping by today!
