Hi-ya,
Boy, it's been a few days since we chatted. A lot's been going on around here. Saturday, some of my family got together to celebrate Mom's birthday and just like I thought, we laughed and laughed and laughed over dinner at Spin Neapolitan Pizza. I love spending time with my family.
This is my littlest sister Glory (the big driver now) on the left and then my sister, Grace, and her husband, Chris.
If you look closely, Glory's sportin' one of the felt flowers I made for Christmas gifts this year. She just slid the pin onto a skinny headband. CUTE!
Then, on Sunday after church, we road tripped out to my sister, Diann's, house to celebrate her babies' birthdays. Can you even believe that this little man, my nephew Malachi, is TWO now?! For those of you that have been following my blog for awhile, probably remember when he was born, and even the year before that when his big sister was born!
She -- Ally -- is turning THREE in a few days! Seriously, where does the time go?! We had a ball watching these two little munchkins open all of their gifts....what a hoot!
And let's not forget about the fact that their mama -- my sis, Diann -- is about to have baby number three in a couple months! She's holding up a little present we took along for Baby. Eeee......
Are those cute little shoes or what?!! They're from Target.....they have the cutest baby shoes! These are also great since we don't know if the baby's a boy or a girl.....I figure these could work either way. They're the absolute tiniest, fuzziest, adorable little shoes ever. Love.
While we were there, we even got to Skype with "Uncle Dave" -- my little brother, the rock star, who just moved to Nashville -- for the first time. It was so fun watching Ally and Malachi trying to figure out how they were able to see and hear and talk to Uncle Dave on the computer! You should hear them say, "Hi, Uncle Dave!" in their little muppet baby voices. Gah.....melts my heart.
Then yesterday, I was going about my day, minding my own business, coming upstairs from the basement (where I work out) and dropped my iPhone. It worked for about a half hour and then the screen died. Only the screen. But of course, when I took it in to the Apple store, they weren't able to repair it so a new iPhone is on it's way to me now. Boohoo. It's not that I mind a new phone, but you know how it is when you have your current phone set up just the way you want it and you know exactly where to find everything and you like it exactly as it is......but now you're gonna have to fiddle with setting up a new phone and learning it's new features and you'd really rather not take the time for all that right now......yeah, that's where I'm at. Plus, having a broken phone feels an awful lot like having one arm tied behind my back, or something! I use that crazy thing all day long for various tasks. Sad how attached we get to our technology, isn't it? ;)
Ah well, all will be right with the world in a few days when the new phone gets here and is up and running. Until then, I'll just gimp along with my computer and home phone! Haha. As a matter of fact, I'm counting my blessings that it was *only* my cell phone that is broken and not my beloved Laverne & Shirley (my camera and computer)! That would be much worse. Much, much worse. Trying to look at the glass half full. ;)
How's your week been?
