Hello, sweet friends....
I have a little card to share with you featuring a big ole flower I created with the Bloom Builder #2 dies, my Background Basics: Sheet Music stamp set, some cream card stock and a giant hawaiian shores button. I mean really, what's not to love about a great big music note-y flower?
To create the flower, I die cut the petals first from rustic cream card stock and then stamped the sheet music in true black ink. I then inked the edges of the petals with vintage touch tea die ink before tying the petals together. I stacked up the 3 layers of petals and stitched them together with the button using a little rustic cream button twine.
The leaves were die cut using a die from the Leaf Prints collection. The dotty patterned paper in the background is, of course, my favorite pattern from the Green Boutique collection. To finish things off, I die cut a strip of vintage cream card stock using the double-ended banner die and stamped a *perfect* sentiment for this card -- "just a note" -- from the Fillable Frames #12 stamp set! Love!
And for those of you that were wondering.....I've been mourning the passing of my iPhone 3GS this week, however yesterday this shiny new iPhone 4 arrived! I must say that I love Apple. I mean....love. The syncing process was soooo easy, switching over to a new phone. And while I hadn't been unhappy at all with my iPhone 3GS, they'd quit making the 3GS in a 16GB which is what I already had. PLUS, we were able to get the iPhone 4 for the same money as the smaller 3GS because we were eligible for the upgrade so......no reason to not get the 4. I must say that I love it. :)
In fact, it occurs to me that if my camera and computer have names (Laverne & Shirley) and if my sewing machine has a name (Miss Ruthie) and even our cars have names (Murray, the Murano and Genny, the Genesis Coupe) then perhaps it's time I thought about naming my iPhone. I mean, the phone goes pretty much EVERYwhere with me, right? Haha. I'll have to think about the perfect name. If you have a suggestion, leave it in the comments section.....we'll have some fun together, naming iPhone 4! :)
Annnnd, for those of you that were wondering.....the photo on my phone is one I found online of Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany in the wintertime. We have been to that castle -- have been inside it, in fact -- and it's just beautiful. But I especially loved this snowy photo of the castle so I saved it to the phone and made it the wallpaper for my unlock screen. Love.
So, did you watch American Idol last night? I was sooo impressed with how Steven Tyler spoke to the dear girl in the wheelchair at the end of the show. Such a sad story, but I loved how he treated her with such kindness and dignity. He continues to surprise me. Anyway, can't wait to watch again tonight! Perhaps we can chat about it again tomorrow!
All righty then, I'm gonna run for now, but I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share. I hope you're enjoying your week!
Toodle-loo....
