Hello there! Happy day-after-Valentine's-Day! Happy Papertrey Release Day! I hope you had a lovey-dovey day yesterday, that perhaps included some chocolate and maybe even some new Papertrey goodies!! ;) (All of the new products we've been showcasing for the last week during the countdown are now available at Papertrey Ink.)
For today, I thought I'd pop in and share the rest of my cards for this release, starting with this little ditty that features Bitty Background Blocks.
It was so much fun stamping all of the different bitty patterns on the little bits of die cut card stock, mixing things up with a variety of ink colors! (Don't you love that pinked edge die?!)
The sentiment on this one came from Think Big Favorites #1.
Next up, Heather's Fillable Frames Additions 1......and a bit of Background Basics: Newsprint in the background. I couldn't resist the newsprint. :)
That's, of course, a Doily Details die cut peeking out from behind the Fillable Frames die cut.
Next up is Melissa Bickford's Flower Fusion #1. I paired it with Button Boutique because....well, I can't seem to get enough of those little button cards! Ha.
Of course, along the bottom of the card, I used one of my Edgers #2 dies for some extra detailing.
Next up, how about some YELLOW?! This showcases another of Heather's stamp sets.....Tag-its #1.
The yellow scalloped circle image, the little chocolate heart image and the "happy birthday" sentiment are al elements from Tag-its #1. So many fun little pieces to mix and match! The yellow doily image in the center of the circle is from Delightful Doilies and of course, there's another Doily Details die cut tucked behind the yellow circle.
Lastly for today is Friendship Jar Spring Fillers. The flowers, the little bow image and the sentiment are all from Friendship Jar Spring Fillers.
How about a bit of McVey wedding trivia? I carried fuchsia tulips in our wedding. My dress was white and my flowers were fuchsia. Meanwhile, my bridesmaid's dresses were fuchsia and they carried white tulips. :)
For that reason, I especially enjoyed coloring these pretty pink flowers for a Love You card for my hubby. Yes, it's a pink card for a guy, but he's a pretty smart cookie. He'll get the significance of the pink tulips. He'll remember our wedding flowers. I love that about him. :) Perhaps I should save this card for our anniversary.
I also loved adding the little details near the sentiment. The stitched portion of a Fillable Frames #4 die cut and the threaded ripe avocado button....love little details like these.
For those of you that are colorers yourself and might want to try out this color scheme, here are the Copic colors I used on this card.....
All righty, well that's about it for me today. Thanks so much for stopping by. I've got some more crafty projects for you this week as well as a Valentine Recap series too, so I can show you a few Valentine projects I whipped up for my family at the last minute. I realize that the holiday has passed us now, but you'll be able to either file them away for future reference, or you can alter them to suit your own gift-giving needs by changing the colors and/or sentiments, etc. Anyway, I think it's gonna be a fun week so stay tuned!
