Hello there and welcome back to Day 2 of the Papertrey Countdown. I'm so glad to hear how many of you are excited about these newest Raspberry Suite products (which will be available at Papertrey Ink beginning on May 15).
For today, I have a couple of cards to share with you....the first of which was made today with thoughts of you, dear friends, for the loving kindness you've shown to me and my sweet husband in the last couple of days.
The card base is kraft card stock and check out that hawaiian shores card stock layer. As you can see, I used the same technique I showed you yesterday where I started out with a 4 1/4" square piece of card stock and then I used one of the new Edgers #3 dies to die cut the top and bottom of the panel creating a lovely mat layer for the flowers. Next, I ran the mat layer thru the Big Shot with my new Cane Print Impression Plate creating a gorgeous texture.
A bit of stamper's select white card stock was die cut with an angled labels die and then stamped with the sentiment from Delightful Dahlia.
The flowers were created with the Year of Flowers: Violets stamp set. The flowers and leaves were stamped, colored with Copics, cut out with scissors and then glittered before adhering them to the card front.
Next I have a simple little card to show you that I created today for my sweet husband. Of course, the little whale is from my new Whale Wishes stamp set and was die cut with the coordinating Whale Wishes die. A tiny black rhinestone was added to the whale for his eye.
Above the whale, I stamped the trio of hearts image from Whale Wishes a couple of times using versamark ink and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.
The whale is nestled on a mat stack 3 die cut (soft stone card stock) which was stamped with an image from the coordinating mat stack 3 collection stamp set. The sweet sentiment, "I'd cross an ocean for you" is one from the Whale Wishes stamp set.
Along the bottom of the card is a bit of 2009 Bitty Dot Basics patterned paper (in soft stone) that was die cut with the banner borders die and it was topped with a bit of plum pudding topnotch twill ribbon tied in a simple knot.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Nichole Heady, Heather Nichols and Melissa Phillips will be showcasing new goodies for you today, plus Melissa Bickford and Tiffany Pastor will have more sneak peeks for you as well.
Back tomorrow with more new release sneak peeks,
